Great music indeed, but isn't it the easiest and in some ways also the cheapest way to let your moral commitment take precedence over the realisation that this massive catastrophe was made possible by Washington and the NATO? It's easy to take a side that you want to believe is the good side. And it is hard to understand that this is not about a good side and an evil side and that a closer look at grey requires a forensic approach that can expect very little applause.
You are right, if NATO had accepted Ukraine into its ranks, and not tried to appease the 21st century Hitler (Putin), then the war would not have happened. Alas, too many Chamberlains left Putin's aggression unpunished in 2014, which led to a big war. If Western countries did not want to comply with the Budapest agreements, they had to return nuclear weapons to Ukraine.
Actually it's super easy to understand this war. Just listen to Putins own words. He believes Ukraine isn't a country if it own, an cannot live without Russia, so Russia deserves its territory. And I don't think that's right.
