So glad John Woo is still making movies.
MI:2 was such an explosive surreal experience to see in the theaters when I was a kid. Beautifully shot and the rock climbing scene is still one of my favorite openings of all time.
Not me I walked out of the movie like "that sucked".
John Woo is a freakin legend a true action auteur from Hard Boiled, Bullet in the head, the killer, a better tomorrow, hard target, face/off the list goes on, no one will ever be as good as him in terms of making action movie's crazy that he's returned to hollywood all these years later the last one he did was paycheck with Ben Affleck which was pretty good from what I remember I can't freakin wait to silent night
Dont like the PG13 though just like Expendables 3 haha
Absolute legend, Hard Boiled changed my life way back in high school 🙏
Love Mission Impossible 2
I read the below on IMDB recently
"Director John Woo's first cut of this movie clocked in at three and a half hours. Paramount Pictures balked at this length, and told him that the final length could not exceed two hours. This would explain why there are so many plot holes and continuity errors in the theatrical cut."
I think there is a director's cut out there waiting to be seen.
I hope we get to see more action films from this legend after The Silent Night ❤
Before internet days in the mid 90s, this man was enigmatic. Never saw a picture of him and didn't know then he cameoed in those movies of his that got me enraptured with gunfu. It's nice seeing him talk and still making movies
The Killer is my favorite action film of all time. What a legend
John Woo is the best
Great interview with a true icon. "Hard Target" remains an absolute classic.
Watch this Hong Kong movies too it’s a killer
JCVD (Jean Claude Van-Damme): I liked Jean Claude in: "Bloodsport" and "Kickboxer;" his debut role, as a antagonist "Russian" foreign threat character (like Ivan Drago in "Rocky IV"), in "No Retreat, No Surrender (1986)" Windtalkers; Hard Boiled, The Killers; Face/Off, & Broken Arrow (with Christian Slater, Delroy Lindo, John Travolta).
Living action movie legend. M:I 2 is a very fun, stylish, and underrated entry into the series.
The man the legend john woo
MI 2 still has the best mask reveal stunt in the franchise 😀😀😀😀😀
I’m surprised to hear him talk about Mission Impossible, I wasn’t a big fan of MI-2 as a Mission Impossible, but the action was mostly quite kewl and had his film not been made, we’d have Dougray Scott as Wolverine instead of Hugh Jackman.
A legend. Love the dudes movies
JOHN WOO The Fucking ACTION MOVIES King
That he was director for M:I2 need not be a coincidence - The hanging rope in computer room scene in MI:1 was ripped off from one of Woo's earlier HK movie called Money Crazy (1977).
The boss has spoken.
Will there be dual guns and Mexican standoff inside haha God bless The Woo sir hehe🙏🙏👏👏
Sort of funny that the master of explosive, bombastic, masterful action is a very soft spoken chinese man who seems like just a sweet old grandfather lol.
LEGEND
Unfortunately, Tarantino has never done a shootout scene even close to John Woo (don’t say Django guys, that scene was awful). QTs friend, Robert Rodriguez, has though.
Desperado?
Ah yes the man who almost single handily destroyed mission impossible
lol no
No, that was J.J.
Hahahaha
Looks like he had a stroke ?
Guys adorable 🥺
1:15 i thought he said "david lynch" and was amused, but i realized he must have said "david lean"
Is David lean any less good compared ?
Absolute legend for action films 🎬🎥🤘🏻

Unfortunately, that tone of voice of his is due to an operation he underwent a few years ago for throat cancer.
