King player caught the biggest break for their promotion match; expecting a challenge, but it was just LTG spamming strings with Feng and gifting free counter hits in neutral because of his prevalence to flail and general lack of defensive awareness.

1:03 Dale gets a +17 advantage from his Heat Dash here, and what does he do? He decides to fucking wavedash at point blank range in a King's face. That's not a matter of a simple misinput either - you have to perform a full 236 motion to enter the wavedash. And he chose to do this even though Heat Dash LOCKS OUT sidestepping, meaning Dale can either get a pressure extension with b3, a +6 on block mid with good range, db3 for a high crush that has a true string extension in WS4, which will give him another mix on CH, or fish with f1+2 to bait out a response, as it's a mid power crusher at 19 frames that gives a hard knockdown he can confirm with d4 or stomp.
This should be unequivocal proof that Dale is carried to purple ranks by Feng. I haven't even picked Feng up in Tekken 8 - this is all fundamental stuff from Tekken 7 that can be applied from Heat Dash's meaty advantage, and he wasn't even my T7 main at that. Absolutely pathetic display, and he has the audacity to scream that the King is trash for hopkicking when that's a -13 hopkick that can't be parried due to it being a knee - a great tool for punishing anyone trying to squeak out a cheeky sweep using the advantage.

EDIT: oh and he also presses db1, 4 nine times in the next two rounds. That's a pretty good mid poke confirm, but if you're having trouble with it and the Feng is using it a lot, it loses out to a lot of power crushes and has no low mix, and you can backdash after you block it to try and force a whiff.
And this is why dale doesn't know what to do when facing someone who knows their shit like you know yours. I bet you could coach him real good, but dale won't admit that he lacks training.

You are right bro, but TO BE FAIR, shoulder -> heat dash -> point blank wave dash is a really common setup for Feng, since it forces a guess between FC4, 1 and a headbutt. (low or mid 50/50) Not that Dale was doing that setup intentionally, I’m 100% sure he doesn’t even know about it since he never studies the game.
