When you're showing Lovebites to musicians who, let's face it, are legendary in the metal world, and they haven't heard of the band but all think they're amazing, that speaks massive volumes. This is a band that NEEDS international exposure, and they'll take off, for sure.
Gotta say it's great seeing people who know what it's like to perform on stage react to the Japanese women who perform faultlessly on stage every time. Like yourself, they appreciate the work that has gone into the performance.
Joel, thank you for doing this. It only dawned on me tonight that this series of shared reactions is spreading the word to people in a position to really spread the word. I’m in Kyoto, two days after seeing the “We Are the Resurrection” comeback gig in Tokyo on Saturday evening. The second one of two shows was last night. They tweaked the set, so I didn’t see Swansong, but it was played last night. I’ve flown from the U.K. just for the show, but made 10 days in Japan out of it (why not?). They sound unbelievable with Fami and they played a set of fan favourites, if you add the two together. They played Stand and Deliver and Judgement Day both nights and almost took the roof off. Small venue, but it was filmed so I’ve no idea what plans they have for the footage. They’re back, and they mean business. Great reaction, and again, thank you. This band is too well hidden for people of such ridiculous talent.
@@grantnealon5101 GO TO JAPAN, IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. EVERYTHING IS LIKE LOVEBITES. EVERYTHING. Lol Thanks for the comment and keep it Lovebites..
Congrats on making it to the show, that's one of my current goals in life right now. Maybe they'll live stream it like they did the 2021 concert? That would be sweet.
now THIS is the way to get these ladies the recognition they have deserved. i haven't seen a negative response yet from any of the outstanding musicians you have shown them to. there are vey few that do not appreciate them - and most of those are not in a position to judge.
Another great reaction Joel. Been enjoying Dizzy and his music (Guns) For years.. You are doing a great service to these beautiful, tallented ladies with these exposure reactions, Hope you do more they so deserve world wide recognition, They are flawless. Looking forward to the next one. And to Dizzy, if your reading this, Rock on dude, thanks for the years of great music with Guns. Best wishes from France
For the love of God, please keep doing these videos. Lovebites deserves to be heard and these videos are helping to spread the word of the most talented band on earth.
Dizzy's reaction is great. Great musicians appreciate other great musicians. This is definitely a standout track for Miyako. Absolutely mad skills. And to think, Dizzy hasn't heard Midori's best shred or Miyako as king of the Wah pedal. Haruna's drumming is insane on this song. She stands out on every Lovebites tracks.
bro, this is interesting content. I love it when musicians listen to Lovebites. Now I can't imagine if there is an episode "What Does Slayer Guitarist think of LOVEBITES - Break The Wall/Dissonance?" Good job and thanks for Dizzy Reed
Now, get someone from the corporate side, one of the label companies, and see what their take would be on Lovebite. It would be interesting to get their view just like it is great hearing these Band Members share their thought. Love this series and keep them coming!!!!
Just came here from the Nightwish reaction. So cool that you are showing these bands we love to people who can have such an impact. Thank you! And wow, cool bunch of friends you've got there!
Keep doing what you're doing Joel in showing these musicians next level music! Great job supporting Lovebites and all the other tremendous all-female acts around the globe. Not a question I expect you to answer but did you ever think in a million years you'd write a book that would sell millions of copies, be a #1 Best Seller?? That is awesome and if you're able to live off royalties alone, that is terrific and well deserved! LOVEBITES... best band in metal! 🤘
After Snake Sabo..now, Dizzy Reed ? and Whaaaat ? Even Dizzy Reed said " i got to retire right now" 😄... Damn !!! Use your illusion 1 and 2 were the best GNR album...Dizzy add his great piano there.. Respect! Thank you very much, sir.. Cause you bring to those great rocker to watch these badass ladies ! Just enjoying very much to see those rocker' reaction when they see lovebites These ladies are really2 unbelievable Hail LOVEBITES 🤘
When I see the video title "Swan Song with Chopin intro" I goes 'Ahh sheeettt here it goes again..' But thank you man for bringing LOVEBITES to the attention of one of the member of the legendary "Guns N' Roses".. I'm sure the ladies would appreciate it also..
Hi Joel, nice videos :) And, if playing piano & guitar like nobody's bussiness wasn't enough, Miyako also was the composer of "Swan Song". I will love this woman for the rest of my life, one of the greatest composers and musicians of this era. Best regards from Spain mate ♥️
Miyako started learning piano when she was 3 and trained as a classical pianist. she didn't pick up a guitar till she was 18 and was planning to do a classical tour before she joined Lovebites. a lot of the music she writes for the band has a lot of classical influences
Maybe show some that they can also rock the house ... go with "Set the World on Fire" or "Break the Wall" :) ... i am glad to see what other professional musicians think about these lovely ladies. Thanks so much, Joel. !
Awesome!! Dizzy seemed to be impressed!! such a cool intro setting the mood for the song!! Cool to see these guys have a glimpse of the amazing music coming out of Japan!! 🤘🐺🤘Thanks Joel!!
That's a great video again Joel, thank you for doing this. And thanks to Dizzy too, for the video, and for the music too dude xD I see Dizzy catched that the song also had elements of Chopin, not only the intro. Miyako (the key/guitar player) mentioned she composed the track inspired by some other of the studies of Chopin.
That's right up there with the greatest performances I have ever seen live (not in person yet). I hope word continues to spread about them so that if they ever do tour the West again, it is sold out venues everywhere they go. They deserve that. Everyone who loves great musicianship should honestly go see them, as they are among the best, but especially obviously if you like metal, as I am hard pressed to think of anyone better in that genre.
This song is why I assert that Lovebites is the most musically talented hard music band on the planet. Can anyone name another hard music band on Earth that could play this Lovebites song. EDIT one year later: I've learned that there are two other metal bands that could play this song, provided they are allowed to record Midori's guitar onto a track (which is only fair because Miyako's piano was on a track while she was shredding the guitar), and those two bands are: Dream Theater and Symphony-X. So, now I say LOVEBITES are one of the top 3 most musically talented metal bands on the planet.
Actually - not many can play any of their songs. It will be VERY hard to cover Lovebites. First you need to find five super talented musicians. Then you need to get them this tight.
Love your What Does (fill in the blank) Think Of (fill in the blank) videos. If you're really into Japanese female firecracker pianists you might try watching Hiromi Uehara perform "Desire" with her Trio Project band. This is jazz, not rock. But, I guarantee you'll be mesmerized by her playing.

I like your reactions with Dizzy you should try and do Empty Daydream with him ruclips.net/video/lXh_uMM94jU/видео.html I think he might like this one also with Miyako doing the intro on the piano, and than Asami singing with just the piano at first. I can't say it's one of my favorites since I have yet to hear a song from them I don't like. But the live version is better than the LP just my opinion mind you.
I don't know if it's cultural or what but they were standing there like statues with faces like I-hate-my-life or I-don't-want-to-be-here. The drummer looked stressed.
It's not a cultural thing. It's obvious you have only watched this video of them. In their live performances, they play nearly 2-hour setlists of close to 20 songs, with most songs at this pace or faster, so they're not going to be prancing around on stage for the whole 2 hours in high heels. There are other songs in this concert alone where they move around a lot. And no, this drummer, Haruna, is one of the top drummers in the world and she's far from being stressed when playing live, even for 2 hours, you just got to watch more of their stuff
It's my 1st time listening to this band and I'm not impressed......Maybe they have better materials. I'm not judging talent, I like or I don't like it. But I do wish them luck and be known for those who likes their music.
