Every morning I read my bible, and then look for a new video. And if there isn't one I revert back to an old one. You are so motivating because I also suffer from anxiety and I always like to watch a video at the end of the day to destress too. Thank u for putting yourself and your family out there to for us to enjoy, learn and grow as moms from all backgrounds, religions, stages in our families, and different working environments. You encourage us all!

We love this salad... it's been a staple in our house for the holidays for several years. "Grandma" is almost 90 this year and she has done all of the cooking up until this year and it's the one thing she has been asking for. :) We make it with strawberries, but I'm going to try it with raspberries.

@@sandy-ke1kr, yes. For a 9 X 13 pan I used 1 and 1/2 cups of graham cracker crumbs, a stick of melted butter, and 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar. Then baked the crust off @ 350 deg for 10 min. Make sure the crust has totally cooled before adding the cream cheese layer.

My mom used strawberry jello, strawberries and pineapple (well drained). The center was sour cream! It was delicious!! The sweet jello offsets the sour cream just right!

    • @TheMtggrl
      @TheMtggrl 5 лет назад +1

Growing up in the 70's my mom always did her jello salad at Christmas, two flavors cherry and lime and after the first layer set, she spread a layer of sour cream then poured lime yellow that had partially set in to which she would add pineapple tidbits then when all was set she added more sour cream. We loved it, and I haven't had it in years, I'm going to make one this year I think.

Orange Jello Salad with Pudding Whipped Cream
    Prep Time
    10 mins
    Cook Time
    5 mins
    Total Time
    4 hrs 15 mins
This Orange Jello Salad is a retro throwback dessert that tastes like creamsicles in Jello form with a sweet, creamy topping and a sweet-tart layer of orange gelatin, mandarin oranges, and orange juice concentrate!
    Course: Dessert, Side Dish
    Cuisine: American
    Ingredients
1 large (6 ounce) package orange Jell-O (or 2 small packages)
2 1/2 cups boiling hot water
1 6 ounce container frozen orange juice concentrate (or 1/2 a larger 12 ounce container)
3 large 11 ounce cans mandarin oranges, drained with juice reserved from 1 can
1 3.4 ounce instant vanilla pudding mix
    1 cup cold milk
1 cup Cool Whip or sweetened whipped cream
    Instructions
Dissolve the Jell-O in the hot water by stirring until crystals are no longer visible.
Add the frozen orange juice concentrate and stir until completely melted. Add the juice from one of the cans of mandarin oranges, then stir in the oranges from all three cans.
Pour into a large glass dish and transfer to the refrigerator to chill until completely set, about 4 hours.
Combine the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk in a bowl and whisk well until it starts to set up, about 1-2 minutes. Note that this recipe does not use the same amount of milk as directed on the package of pudding. Fold in the Cool Whip or whipped cream, then spread over the top of the set Jell-O.
    Refrigerate until ready to serve.
