10 gallon just sponges 20 and 30 gallon I use hang on back for best cleaning, my 55,75, and 125 I use canister for filtration plus intermatic internal fillers. And I have 2 sponge filters in all my tanks except my10 gallons have just one sponge. You can’t beat the surface tension break up and the battery back up and the fact that you can simply movea couple sponge filters from an established tank to a new tank and have it cycled. I watch you all the time Ben and you was the reason I decided to go with African cichlids. I lost all my fish during a divorce 3 1/2 years ago and now I am currently back up to 10 tanks and have a couple more that I will be setting up soon. I actually won a Cunningham’s gift card from you and bought a yellow blaze Cichlid with it. I’m not sure if you remember me or not.
Pls upgrade your videos to 4k and better cam. That would be the next step!. I moved to the US and I want to start again. I used to have many acuariumns for 2 years back in Cuba many years ago, got 11 malagy species there was kind of a thing by that time, now there is a guy that have many more including the dephins
Video is in 4k @60fps through a Sony A-6400. Check your RUclips video play back setting. RUclips will default to 1080 or 720 to prevent buffering, but you can change it up to 4k or 1080 depending how it was filmed and uploaded.
I absolutely despise sponge filters. Who wants to try to wrap them around a bag? It's still releases all kinds of gunk. The thing I hate the most is all the bubbles that burst at the top of the waterline and leave a mess on my glass top. I threw mine in the garbage. I don't have giant tanks so for me, HOB filters are the way to go.
