  • Plowing with a Case International 485 and a International 309a 3 bottom trip plow. We were using this set up to prepare a food plot. Towards the end of the video the plow does get tripped by a large rock. Thanks for watching

Wow that’s nice. I’m looking to buy one. Looked like it didn’t struggle to much.

@@JoshHovis do you have the reverse lever on the left-hand near steering wheel? If so can you do that at higher RPM?

@@VicsYard yes there is a forward and reverse lever to the left up by the steering wheel. You can use it at high rpm but you have to have the clutch engaged in order to shift from forward to reverse and vice versus, and I always come to a complete stop before switching from forward to reverse to keep the wear on the machine down of course. Another nice feature is that it has synchronized gears so you can shift through the 4 low gears in low range and the 4 high gears in high range just like you would in a truck or car with a stick shift. You cannot shift from high to low ranges while moving. It has a throttle pedal and the right so it is very easy to shift gears if need be. It’s just a great tractor that is very easy and fun to drive and run and has a lot of power to get tasks done.

Thanks for this man. We just bought a 585 and was wondering how well it would pull a 3 bottom.

We've been really impressed with this tractor. It has ample power for the 3 bottom. Really enjoy the synchronized transmission for getting around the property also. Congratulations on your 585. Hopefully you have the same experience we've had.

@@JoshHovis We have a 585 which we have used for 20 years with no issues. Nice
machine for chore work and we use it to cultivate / side dress snap beans and sweet corn.
It also works well for PTO work.
