Living a simplistic is great Hi Ashley, We live in a society that tells us we need to constantly go-go-go. And that we need to buy this, and do that, and it overcomplicates things so much. I think it starts with addressing this mindset and realizing that we are not meant to function as machines that never rest. This can help to take a weight off of ourselves to feel the need to constantly be productive.
I've been trying to live a simpler life for several years and I think I'm finally succeeding. I've become such a home body. I don't like to go out much except to the grocery and to church on Wednesday and Sunday. I shopped at Aldi today and finished my Christmas shopping today so that's done for the moment. I take my car in for routine service tomorrow before I go on my road trip in late December to early January. I really don't to go out more than one day a week unless it's necessary. Simpler is so much better! I loved seeing the Christmas gifts and the soup looked really good!
Walks in the morning with The Lord are the best! I used to walk to the Lake/Park & spend time with Him in His Word. It was wonderful…The soup looked delicious! Might have to steal this recipe & make it one day.
Would love to have a coffee maker like that, love your videos so much, very encouraging, I'm from south Africa joburg and listen to your videos every day, can't wait for the next one
I love how you use the word disciplines. I have been thinking recently about how I need to get my healthy habits back on track but it's so hard and reading healthy disciplines just gave me a light bulb moment of the fact is takes discipline to build those habits! Thank you for the change in perspective!
I feel you Ashley. Finishing up a 12-15 page paper for hermeneutics at Moody seminary school. It's definitely a lot of work but enjoyable and enriching.

also, fellow smoothie conisseur here. toss in some raw ginger and turmeric for an immune boost. I also love to add a small portion of fresh beet to my smoothie. It makes it purple too. 💜
Life definitely has to slow down! Good idea about limiting screen time! Being outside is the best thing for us!Being outside & enjoying nature definitely makes me feel closer to Jesus!💖🙌💖

How do you study the Bible and do homework about it without feeling drained? How does it not become a task? Do you feel like the Holy spirit is teaching and guiding you through it all?
