  • The 20-year-old gunman who reportedly opened fire on Donald Trump took the rifle from his father on the day of the assassination attempt. Thomas Matthew Crooks allegedly used the AR-15-style rifle at the gun range multiple times before the rally shooting. Crooks’ father, Matthew Crooks, owned the firearm and let his son use it occasionally. Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber breaks down whether Crooks’ dad will face charges similar to the Oxford school shooter’s parents.

I agree that something was up with this ‘kid’ (some type of mental or behavioral issue) and the parents knew. Why would the mother call police if your 20 year old was ‘missing’ for a couple of hours?! If I called the police every time my 21 year old son is missing(?) for a couple of hours I’d probably be calling them on a daily basis!
I don’t really understand what ‘missing’ means in this case! Did the parents know he left the house with the weapon and couldn’t find him at the range? Did he have no friends to possibly be with? Had he been talking about hating Trump recently?
There has to be way more to this story! With the information the public has…it’s not adding up or making sense to do what this ‘kid’ did!!

My theory to why the parents was concerned and looking for him hours before this happened, I would imagine he left some kind of goodbye letter, or something stating that he was not coming home, just something random or odd, that may have alarmed them to be concerned about what is going on with him. I don’t imagine he would have blown his cover and told them exactly what he was doing, but it would’ve been enough to raise suspicious, just within the hours leading up to the shooting. That is what I think happened here, he may have left a goodbye, i love you note, then carried out his plan.
