My grandparents were living in Nochur village. My grandmother passed away last year, just after the Nochur Bhagavathy theru .My grandfather's name is N.V.Sankaranarayanan. Grandmother's name - Seethalakshmi .Now, only my Mama is living in that house It's a great idea and initiative by Sriram Mama to create this video 🙏
I am from Veleesvaram Village, West Peruvamba, just 2-1/2 kms from Nocchur Village. There used to be a temple built by a Sanyaasi near the tank, and a great function took place in the early 1960s, and many books on Augusteeya Kritis, etc. were published at that time. I used to daily walk thru Nochur village as a shortcut to go to Koduvayur for attending the Shortand and Typing Institute in Koduvayur, in the early 1970s; and also before that also for going to Koduvayur for the Koduvayur-santhi purchases and other provision purchases for house and cow-food items from Koduvayur. Our gramma vadhyar was from Koduvayur, Sri Krishna Sastrigal and his sons, who used to come on bicycle. Also Sundaram Krishna Vaadhyar also used to come to our village for bigger japams, etc.
For this temple we collected funds by conducting tms music function from Pollachi and remember came all the way from Pollachi via villayanur to attend sirgazhi givindarajan performance
Gone are the days when we used to live without electricity, bathroom and walk to the river early in the morning to have a bath - early to bed early to wake - thinnai, relee, pathayath walk through to kitchen and stair case to maadi where ladies used to sleep along with children - thanks to the deadly combination of namboodri and pattar we lost lands and gone the grammam concept and i am not sure if the tillers of the soil till doing tilling and not selling those land ment for agriculture

Please expand the scope of these Agraharams to include Sanskrit Villages also particularly in Maharashtra, Bihar ,Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh etc styled as Vedic Villages. Chief Minister Yogiji is receptive to these ideas .Thanks . Jai Hind !
The Shiva kshetram in chandrashekarapuram Gramam was built by my paternal grt grandfather, appavya sundaram pattar. This i am sure is over a hundred year old story. But I know both my lineage. His daughter, sita, was married (C. S. Sittaiammal) was married to alaikalmadam parashuraman, Perindalmaanai. I can get in touch with anyone who knows details. I have heard there is a third generation carnation music vocal artist from this family who gives performances. Hoping to connect.
If there is anyone from perrindalmannai, I wish to let them know, in my quest for a connect that my father, Late A. P. VENKATESWARAN was a student of Tharakan's school, angaadipuram. Later studied at Chembai music academy, under the tutelage of the Great Maestro during His lifetime.
