I am from civil engineering department ,tezpur university.sir you are teaching so smoothly that everybody will be cleared ....fantastic....i had a little doubt which is cleared now..thanks a lot sir for uploading this video..
Your Engineering lectures are great sir. I use them for my civil engineering lectures.. I used them before too. Great sir keep it up. Many thanks from 'civil thinking'
For those who can't hear properly .... download an equaliser to app from playstore or realtek hd audio manager in pc to boost the sound... It worked for me..
Your Video Is Very Useful Sharing Lecture series on Design of Reinforced Concrete Structures by Prof. N.Dhang, Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Kharagpur.
since we are trying to calculate the total load per meter width should we not have multiplied it by 8 m instead and not the effective span,,,multiplying it by the effective span will give you the UDL in the long span direction,,,i am just asking
In IS code , it is clearly mentioned that for span less than 10m, we have to use basic value 20 for simply supported beam. And in this question, sir had used 25 . Please clear my doubt anyone.
Sir I want ans of two questions. 1) why modification factor is multiply to span/depth ratio ? 2)we use four different MF. (MF1,MF2,MF3,MF4) for different requirement. MF1 value calculation is given into the code .but when It is necessary to use of other factors how can I get value? Because I cannot find it in IS:456.i cannot find even reference.
Blessed are those who spread knowledge for the good of human kind. Thank you Sir.
Blessed are those who expect nothing, for they will never be disappointed.

IIT Dr. N.Dhang , Really Excellent Effort to Dedicate the WWH , Thank you Sir.

Great sir keep it up. Many thanks from 'civil thinking'
@civilthinking, I went through your channel too and your Civil Engineering Lectures are great too.
Thanks!
Buddy, I use NPTEL literature. They have immense knowledge in their video lectures.
And thanks btw for visiting my Channel.
All credit goes to NPTEL!
very useful clip.............really helpful for one who dont have good supporting faculty in other institute also..............very thank you

TV 2 FILM sir what about slopping slab
TV 2 FILM what about pyramidal slab
always a blessing to engineers
Please watch my videos pertaining to civil engineering
IIT Dr.N.DHANG , Really Excellent Excellent effort to WWD $$$$$ devotion $$$$$ . WWH Getting your Grace .
Why we are taking b=1000mm
@@chinnareddy2151 consider b=1000 for calculation'' Ast'' per 1000mm
Really your way of teaching is impressive and conceptual. thanks
This is a very useful refresher and glad I found it. Thank you.
this is very helpfull for AMIE(I) student as they can not attend classes
thank for simple , easy explanation
sir you already calculated total f load=13.5 ..we are designing by considering per metre length
nice work sir thank you very usefull all ur lectures
since we are trying to calculate the total load per meter width should we not have multiplied it by 8 m instead and not the effective span,,,multiplying it by the effective span will give you the UDL in the long span direction,,,i am just asking
you have really helped me prof
Whene we actually designs in field at that time we going from same process or different ??? Plz tell anybody??
it is very nice, ie, one can be even independent from coaching for gates or others
.
Rajesh Sahu But you will not be able to solve your doubts. It will decrease your ability of critical thinking and questioning.
while calculating dead load for slab u considered 0.16*25? please explain someone
thickness of slab * wet unit weight of concrete
In IS code , it is clearly mentioned that for span less than 10m, we have to use basic value 20 for simply supported beam. And in this question, sir had used 25 . Please clear my doubt anyone.
THANK U SIR THIS WAS VERY MUCH USEFUL FOR ME
Very helpful, thank you Professor
This is working stress method or Limit state method design of slab?
Top and great..
thank you so much...
sir I have a question , one way slab or two slab which one is economical
Thanks. Nice LecturePlease make videos/lectures on design of Grid beams and peripheral beams.Sound problem may please be address.
Nice lecture
excellent..
very helpful...for xamm..
sir, why we use short span only for calculation of factored load
Sir I want ans of two questions.
1) why modification factor is multiply to span/depth ratio ?
2)we use four different MF. (MF1,MF2,MF3,MF4) for different requirement. MF1 value calculation is given into the code .but when It is necessary to use of other factors how can I get value? Because I cannot find it in IS:456.i cannot find even reference.
do u not know how to take readings from a graph using a ruler ? u learn that in middle school 🤣🤣🤣🤣
sir plz make the videos less lengthier that we can study before exam also
thise is so much usefule tetores
Sir please upload estimation of building by centre line method and long wall shortwall method
Can anybody tell me in which part of this whole course i will khow about bond and development length
great and helpful
Very Nice Class thank you so much Sir.
i would like to know why the moment coeff. at end support in continuous beam or slab are zero i.e. what if the ends are fixed
thank u sir prof.n.dhang
Sir, what if ly/lx is equal to 2 ?
2 way slab
thaaaanx this is great
which code did you use ?
IS 456 : 2000
indian standred code
The reason is because the distance is zero
Prof did I am right?

Thanks very much.
sound nhi aa rha hai sir
..
they have no audio for this video
think you very much Sir
very good google+
why dead load for slab is taken AS 0.16*25
Rishabh Rai n 25 is density of concrete.
160 mm overal depth D in meters
nce sir
thank u sir
why does he take 'b' as 1000mm instead of 8000mm?
Assume b=1000 for calculation....per 1000mm
Hello........! please how can I download this vedio?
download Tubemate from Google seach and from there you can download any video on RUclips
super
good
Thanks sir
Wasting too many papers(Pages). It could have been better if Professor used White Board instead of Pages.

thank u..so much sir..:-D
sound problem
use IDM (Internet Download Manger)
what is effective span
effective span=clear span+effective depth of beam or slab
This problem is solved by using wsm or lsm
cant hear anything :O
Sound in Only one side of the earphone.
download youtube dowenloader it is simple
can't hear any thing it's only for him
