  • As early detection and treatment of breast cancer continue to improve, increasing numbers of women are becoming long-term survivors highlighting concerns regarding long-term health and quality of life after cancer treatment. For many women of reproductive age, one of these survivorship concerns is the ability to have children when desired. Treatments for breast cancer including chemotherapy and long-term hormonal therapy can affect fertility and shorten the reproductive window. In this talk, we will discuss testing options for assessing your own fertility potential, when to seek fertility evaluation, and safety and efficacy of treatment options for breast cancer survivors.
