I'm telling you, I am introverted and experience the exact same problems. Talking to or just being with people or even just in public is always awkward. I always feel like I'm doing something, if not everything, wrong.
I love how raw and real you are about this. My boyfriend got diagnosed with ADHD 20 years ago and I studied psychology in college, so I really enjoy hearing about people's experiences. It's interesting to hear that going keto has helped your memory, I would love to hear more about your keto journey as you continue with it!
Courtney Callahan thanks for the wonderful comment! Yes it is so interesting to hear how others cope and work with their adhd diagnosis! And I will for sure be sharing my experience with the keto journey and what it does for my mind!
OMG!!! I love your energy and personality! I can totally relate to forgetting things so fast lol. It happens to me all the time. Thank you much for sharing your story. And yes! I love to meditate. It puts everything in perspective ;)
I love you already. You are me before I lost all my confidence. So funny and free. Thank you for sharing at such a fast pace lol such honest and super relatable.
ArdelleVision well you are amazing! Loved your little mental breaks (for the viewers with adhd) like singing and such! Thank you for sharing :) Youve inspired me to try Keto :)
So many times I've forgotten my point! I just ask out loud "what was my point?" I know that how I eat super effects me. That's key. Good luck with your keto!
This is litterally the story of my life. "This is the story of a girl Who cried a river and drowned the whole world...!" que music here. Have the same think where words and situations remind me of a song.
I feel much better hearing your story. I think I may have adhd. I can relate so much whit you. Right now i was having a anxiety episode, I feel so stress because of my job, how forgetful and disoriented I am. I been taking therapy for 2 months but my therapist haven't given me any diagnosis she is just listening to all I have to say. I thought I was getting crazy, maybe that I'm not normal, retarded or something but I think I have this. My entire body hurts just thinking about it.
Maria Genao I love that that made you feel better. What a compliment! It brings my heart joy to hear this cause anxiety is no joke! I was in therapy for over 2 years and never got a diagnosis but I presented ideas of mental disorders to my therapist but not one was adhd...cause it wasn't even in my mind that I could have a "child's mental condition" I sought it on my own. My friend takes medication cause her anxiety was almost debilitating (she has anxiety). I chose to go keto. I still have moments of anxiety but it's so much better to have answers so you can move forward. And at least know what's happening.
I'm pretty forgetful too, which is why I rely so much on my google calendar - to the point where even the smallest tasks are in there. Over Thanksgiving I dropped our dogs off to our sitter and forgot their food, so I had to go grab that then when I went to pick them up I forgot my money (seriously!?) and had to drive back to town to get that. I was so upset with myself for looking like a fool!
Meredith Rines @ merelynne.com oh. My gosh. Hahaha I have so been there done that. Not the exact story but close to it. One week I locked my keys in my car twice. 😭
Great video. Looking back.. I KNOW I had ADD growing up and now ADHD as an adult. I always had a hard time concentrating and getting things done on time. Long story short, I had an anxiety attack at work around 6 years ago and a friend brought up talking about ADHD and adderall with my Dr but right away she shut that down and said it would increase my anxiety. Been on Lexapro and klonipin ever since abs my anxiety is still pretty bad. A friend that also deals with adhd and some anxiety gave me some adderall and told me to see how it made me feel. It helped me concentrate, got A LOT more done.... etc. My question/comment is to see if Adderall can be taken with anxiety medication as well. Because I think my anxiety CAME from my ADD/ADHD. God Bless 🙏🏽
@@suides4810 I have an appointment with my psychiatrist tomorrow and I’m hoping she’ll let me try out Adderall to see if it will help with the ADD side of things and hope with the anxiety as well.
Girlfriend! I just found your channel and I love your personality and sense of humor. I think this might be a godsend. I've been in therapy for years for depression/anxiety/social anxiety etc. and have tried a variety of depression/anxiety meds and feel like none of them have worked for me. I'm really starting to wonder if I have ADHD or maybe ADD. I am terribly forgetful and have a hard time concentrating/staying focused, very neat but terrible at organizing. I'm extremely awkward in social situations. Might need to look into getting assessed for ADHD because it sounds like it correlates to a lot of the same symptoms with depression and anxiety. Much love 💕
Renee Fries welcome! I’m so glad you found this channel too!!! Thanks for the kind words! And wow...zaps da like you might have adhd...your story reminds me of me! No joke. 😳
This really helped me help myself, I completely understood everything you had to say about the things that adhd makes you do like blurting out things at the wrong time, not being attentive and my biggest insecurity that is procrastinating.... I'm going to try these out and maybe get back to this comment ☺️
Thanks for being open and honest about this wide topic!! I believe my son has ADHD, we haven't gone through with the diagnosis testing yet however he shows all the signs and behaviors. I'm not sure how I feel about medication at this time I will have to dig deeper into it.
THanks for the comment! I was on adderol and anti depressants in the past...randomly before i was ever diagnosed. I did not like it. I wanted to find a way to fuel my brain better because i knew that had to be the ticket to help my adhd without meds. I decided to eat based on the keto diet. It has changed my life. I watched "the magic pill" on netfllix and i loved what it had to say. maybe you can check it out!
I can relate to much of this. I also felt it was such a gift to get diagnosed. I take meds because I was suffering sooo badly with anxiety and depression and I mostly felt like I couldn’t live with myself so finding out and then starting meds completely changed my life around. I take atomoxetine which isn’t a stimulant and helps more with anxiety, depression and inattentive type. X
You have to exercise like in high speed if you don't want to take medication. However, I take medication when I have to do something that easy for everyone but me :)
Thank you for sharing! Helping others know they are not alone is helpful! Keto is amazing! You should look into exogenous ketones!! Love how I feel drinking ketones!! Lifts the brain fog 😊
Trina Belcik Um...what?!?! Exogenous ketones!!!! Thanks for the tip! I'm so gonna look into this!!! I love my budding community! And if I make one person feel better that's all I can hope for. Thanks for the compliment trina!
