Happy to see you included Pixelmator Pro on this list. I feel like this app is so underrated.

I love pixelmator pro
I use drop-zone instead of dropover. It has plugin supports as well. So each plugin is like an app feature on its own. E.g. drag a video into its menu bar icon with downloader plugin. Boom video downloaded just like IDM from windows.

I use Dropover ALL the time! Also, Robert isn’t the only one. Disk Drill saved a few projects of mine as well. 😬

As a software developer / web dev, I couldnt recommend enough of alfred, I use it to see my agendas, jump to meetings, and has a nifty clipboard tool so I can copy as much as I want and look through the list of it later :)
Does anyone know how you change the color of the user interface of FCP from black/grey to white/silver?
Also recommend carbon copy cloner , great not only for backing up but easily let’s create a bootable backup allowing you to launch everything from an external drive

what is the use of night owl if the feature already exists in the Mac OS?
I recommend Raycast too, I prefer it over Alfred :P
hey dude on vanilla i would actually reccomend hidden bar, in my opinion it looks just a little better
to hide desktop files and many others cool feature, use one switch app.. it's pro but way better as provide many others feature some quick toggle things like empty trash, eject disk etc.
I personally can also recommend Rectangle, especially when you are coming from Windows
Rectangle, Magnet, and BetterTouchTool all do the same thing….it’s just a matter of preference than anything else

I want the wallpaper of your laptop screen. The first one.
Just installed Hidden me and it has basically bricked my computer. Files and folders on my desktop will not return when I click the button. I no longer have access to my finder by clicking on the desktop. I wrote them and I haven't heard back! 😅 Can anyone help?

Web Instagram does send desktop notifications, just like Twitter (at least through Chrome, haven't tested other browsers)
Highly recommend Boom 3D for PC & Mac too. A definite must for people that use headphones 24 / 7. Microsoft makes their own similar thing to Alfred too with Microsoft PowerToys (Alt + Spacebar after installing it on PC)

Don't understand how Alfred makes every list! I prefer raycast as it is better integrated into my work flow with support for home assistant, Bitwarden, and has native window management which eliminates the need for rectangle and other apps like that.
Dozer is also an excellent app for hiding menu bar icons! As well as being 100% free

Hi Jon 👋 It’s funny cause I bought Air M1 and I thought there will be Gmail or Netflix app but.. 😅 We have to wait and people will make it.
Gotta browser it. The Mail app on MacOS though is a good option for email.
Apple marketed the M1 Macs as being capable of running iOS apps, but most developers don’t want to invest the time and capital required to make their apps that were designed for touch interfaces work on non-touchscreen devices.

Kiwi mail is a gmail app. I believe you can put iOS apps on your computer so you could do Netflix via that route
Hidden bar is a better version of Vanilla that’s been updated to not have as janky behavior of Vanilla.
i tried hidden bar but it messes with my date and time, normally it says "thursday 20 19:17" but when its activated it displays "th 19:17"... how can i change it so it doesn´t abreviate the date?

Magnet is the sleeper hit since you can quickly resize any windows fast, especially split-screen and full screen
A free alternative is Rectangle and has at least the core functionality of Magnet
Magnet is an essential app that should be in the core OS

Dropover is very nice, but not totally free. after a 14 day trail have to pay 5$ or wait 3 seconds before dropping each time
