- I made a swiveling gopro boom mount that attaches to the track system of my kayak using inexpensive parts from the irrigation section at the hardware store. Irrigation components are grey/black instead of white, so look good without painting.
PVC...my all time favorite item to make so many useful items 4 my boat....Thanks 4 sharing...interesting DIY!!
Nice video. Where do you usually fish? (region, no the specific spot :-)). I have a new channel myself and trying to get different angle views. Will definitly try this DIY boom. Thank you.
Thanks. Recently I have been fishing Estero Bay a lot.
Very nice
Thanks John. It worked great for just a gopro, but when I started adding the weight of a light for filming night fishing, it didn't hold up.
@@jakewkayakfishing8457 It's okay. I just need for the camera for now.
Where did you get this pipe from.
My local homedepot and lowes have no idea what this even is.
It is in the irrigation section at all the SW Florida locations.

Cool video
Awesome idea. How stable do you think it would be with the weight of a gopro hero? Looks like you're using the session yeah?
That session died a year ago and I used a hero 5 on it with no problems. When I added the weight of a large light for night filming it started to fail. I no longer need it with my new kayak since it has a convenient rigging point in the front and it is much easier to slide forward to reach it on a super stable kayak.
@@jakewkayakfishing8457 Thanks, the hero 5 is what I currently have. I will head to the hardware and make myself one of these mounts.
Awesome video
Only thing i dont have is the rail nut
Very nice
