when my dad came in to the village i could recognise the sound of the Truck MB 2232 V10 from two km far away, every time when he leaves the main road into the village , i toke my bicycle and was screaming to my mom dad is coming home, rode down the road to catch him on half way . I love the this Truck i was sleeping inside on weekends so may my father forgets me in back side and takes me again on his road trip.

Und der läuft immer noch tadellos. Der kriegt zusammen mit dem Getriebe eine Revision und dann ist das wieder gut.

Zumal ich nicht weiß ob der Kilometerstandanzeiger nicht schon einmal rum war. Alles was ich über den Wagen gehört habe war das er einmal die Spedition gewechselt hatte. Beide fuhren im Fernverkehr. Und wie wir wissen hat man damals nicht ganz so dolle auf Wartung geachtet. Denn die Tachoscheiben, Fahrtenbuch und Werkstattzeiten sind alle verloren gegangen. Leider.

Sounds good. The sound of the V-SERIES. Next time try to show the top side or the longitudinal angle, so that we can see both the two banks of the cylinders, the reason that makes it a V-engine.
Hi Kristian, really really nice. A light mechanical sound in idle, a deep roar when revving. I definitely like that. Of course the sound is even better under load. The truck is a 4WD version as I saw in the previous videos. Does it have the transmission and transfer case combined together in the middle of the frame, so the transmission ist driven by the engine by a drive shaft? Behind the engine I see a drive shaft spinning where the transmission normally would be if it was flanched directly to the engine as it is in most trucks. As the truck is not moving I guess your transmission was in neutral and your clutch was engaged so the drive shaft is turning the input shaft of the transmission. If you would disengage the clutch the drive shaft would stop turning. Am I right about that? I wish you a nice sunday. Best regards Tobias
Hi.Yes this truck has the main gearbox combined with the transferre box.The model is 5S 110 GPA. As far as I know this comination was mounted om cars with the OM 403 and equupped with 4 wheel drive.The oilreservoar is the same in both main gearbox and transferre case. Have a nice day. Kristian

If you mean IMT 5270 that was V8, but even better IMT 5360 used V12 Mercedes Benz diesel and IMT 5500 used MB V12 Twin Turbo diesel engine. Yes, V12 Twin Turbo in a massive beast of a tractor. That was IMT.

Thats the sure way to make an engine. Not the cr@p they make today (all of them). Flimsy plastic fuel pipes, held together by an o ring and its willpower, always leaking. Plastic pins, connectors, tabs, all cr@p. I dont mind a hassle of taking something apart (even if it was more work) to fix it, as long as it can be put back together. These fuel lines, what are the odds you break that? NONE. Try that on something post 2000, good luck.
Good sound but honestly, they didn't go really well. Better than the later V6 but not really nice. The 6-cylinder in-line from MAN has better torque characteristics. I didn't like driving it.
Der Technik - Liebhaber in mir liebt diesen Motor und auch der Sound ist ein Leckerbissen der Economist in mir mochte diesen Motor nicht so sehr denn er war sehr unwirtschaftlich, ich bin also hin und her gerissen.
