Sam is absolutely high-born. House Tarly. He is also first born so was supposed to inherit the chair after his father died. But his dad's ashamed of him. So he had the choice of going to the wall or death by horse "accident "
boy def wide-born as well though
Tywin won that scene. She conceded defeat. 🤣🤣🤣
This episode had one of the best scripts of the whole series. "If you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention," and "Chaos is a ladder," are two of the most quotable lines by villains ever.
That Varys - Little finger exchange is the game right there
You are crazy to think Olenna won that conversation. She snapped the quill to prevent Tywin from naming Ser Loras to the KingsGuard.
Tywin backed her into a corner and she gave submitted to Tywin’s pure will
I mean Tywin did win but he got petty by throwing the ‘king’s guard’ card to get what he wanted
@@icy-ee4346 I’m having trouble finding another word to replace ‘Petty’ with cause I don’t think it was a petty move. It’s extremely strategic, it may have looked like Tywin fell back on ‘Ol Reliable’ and threatened to name Ser Loras to the Kingsguard on a whim, he’s not just using it as a threat.
For Ser Loras being a member of the Kingsguard is the highest honor he could hope for, but he gives up the Tyrell inheritance and with Margery being married to Joffrey at the time that leaves the future of House Tyrell in question.
Olenna CANT have that, knowing that would mean Highgarden goes to Joffrey and Margery’s kids.. Lannisters.
No matter how good of a game she played -and she played a good game in that scene- Tywin beat her, there’s no way around it.
Amazing scene *Chef’s kiss*
@@icy-ee4346
He wasn't being "petty". He was playing his ace in the hole, to win a crucial strategic inter-family "battle" between rivals. That is not "petty"
@@Bled420 it's always felt at least a little petty - for lack of a better word - to me because, if anyone knew the long-term consequences of having your primary heir named to the Kingsguard, it was Tywin. While it was a strategic decision, it also felt just a bit like he was taking revenge for Ares II decisions to reject Cersei for Rhaegar and put Jamie on the Kingsguard. Of course, Ares isn't here anymore, so he does it to the Targaryens largest supporters.
@@mclizzard2928 First, idk if it’s different in the books but in the show I’m almost certain Cersei is promised to Rhaegar but after Robert kills him during the rebellion because of what Rhaegar did to Lyanna both were free so Robert married Cersei.
I do get what you mean, however atm the Lannister and the Tyrell’s are eachothers biggest rival’s.
Being named to the Kingsguard is a high honor, Loras’ name would still go down in history and as Tywin said he has high respect for capable warriors for the Kingsguard. Tywin isn’t doing that to be petty, sure he’s using the offer as a way to get what he wants but it’s an honest offer.
Just feel like ‘petty’ isn’t quite the right word. It’s hella calculated for sure
P.S. if there’s any spoilers in there lmk and ill edit it out. Though i think i was really good about not saying anything I shouldn’t yet
“If you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.” forgot about this line... really sums up this series
It so does!
"You might be more of a rapper" I didn't know it was possible to choke and howl with laughter at the same time, but this comment did it!😊
You asked, and it's not a spoiler, the babies in the jars are the stillborn sons of Stannis and his wife. She kept trying to give him sons, but all of them were stillborn, and she was only able to give him a daughter. She is not all there obviously. I've said it before in another video, I have watched GOT many, many times, and I never thought I would laugh so much while watching it. Keep it up guys! You are doing great.
2:14
Dude Sam always has me laughing so hard. Gilly tells him "I knew you were highborn" and he gets all flustered and red-faced and flutters his eye lashes 😂😂
Just so you know . . . "The Climb" was the biggest episode and the highest viewed episode of all in season three . . . which many fans consider the greatest season of them all. I disagree myself but it was a phenomenal season truly because of how good the characters were especially Tyrion Lannister. Just wait until you experience all the excitement of season four!!!
Chaos is a laddah is probably peak thrones tbh
they knew it when they wrote it. it was used in the promotional material for season 3.
Little Finger’s speech at the end gives me chills every time!
I love that you're so invested in Theon's story, many dismiss it, he's my favorite character from the books
Yes he was one of my very favorite POVs in the books!! Alfie Allen is one of the better actors in the entire show (I think so, at least 🙃) There are a handful of casting decisions that are just 🤌chef's kiss perfecto
sam’s dad gave robert baratheon his only defeat during the rebellion to overthrow the targaryens
I believe Sam is considered “highborn.” His father is a lord.
Tywin won that. He gets the marriage he wanted.
Fellas I think it safe to say The big lesson this episode is the thing you do with your tongue can turn your enemy to your lover lol
It’s so true. That tongue is a powerful muscle 👅 😂
The kid having the seizure you said welcome back “Brodie” that’s literally his real life name lol
Sam is highborn. His dad is a Lord. Randyll Tarly of Horn Hill.
I love Olenna. Gotta be one of my favorite characters in any show
🌸 I don't want to hear another thing about Sam😂😂
The Climb speech gives me chills on chills Everytime!
Loved Sam's shout-out, "...and Hobbs makes venison stew with onions" - Hobbs is cookin'!~ 🔥
When you’ve been thinking Joffrey is the worst character then you realise just how bad Little finger actually is. It’s not often I dislike an actor because of a character they played but whenever I see him in something else I automatically cringe….
Your reactions are a delightful mix of humour & jokes yet so switched on to what’s happening & remembering every character. So enjoyable
Have you seen him in Peaky Blinders? He's SO rad 🙃
The awkward thing about the song Sam sings is that it's a religious song that has to do with the faith of the Seven, but in the north they're a different religion, they worship the old gods.
Hey, Bran… check on yo boy 👀 He can’t do nothing 🙄 And I said right on beat “Not a damn thang 😩” Y’all remind me of myself and my family 😂
I've seen all the reactions to GoT and HotD, and y'all are by far the funniest, in my opinion. 😆
easily
Theirs and Brad Evan's are both hilarious.
No lie, i subscribed just cause of the "Shrek, i'm lookin down!" comment. i died laughing. thanks. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Y’all wrong as hell for laughing at Bran 😂😭😭😂😂😂😭😂
I'm loving your reactions guys, keep them coming!! 👏👏
Funny enough in the books Loras is a knight of the King's Guard and has two older brothers, Garland and Willas. They planned on marrying Sansa to Willas.
Also Tywin definitely won that conversation.
i think sansa would have been quite happy to have been loras' beard
not for long , with Tywin plotting in the shadows ...
Can you appreciate now how great littlefinger and varys scenes are top notch....
Whenever anyone says the word chaos. I say even in my head "is a ladder
Y’all saying it can’t get crazier is insane, sweet summer children
Almost at the best episode of the season!!! Keep going yall ❤
Yo my guys back at it. 👏 Shout out Mikey Cyrus is crazy 😂
i never noticed this before, but the line where ygritte says to jon “the night’s watch don’t care if you live or die. mance rayder don’t care if i live or die. we’re just soldiers in their armies and there’s plenty more to carry on if we go down.”
jon has lied to them (including ygritte) about how many men are left in the night’s watch. he must have known in that moment that he’s not as replaceable to his people as ygritte is to hers, and that must have weighed on his conscience because he’s jon snow and he loves her.
Between South Park and Thrones I’m spending a lot of time with these dudes, great reactions
Oh GAWD they do South Park too? I'll never get any work done!! 🙃
3x5 and 3x6 are peak tv and GoT and not even in the top 10 on IMDb!! 🥴 make sure to take a moment to realize you guys are in the midst of a once in a life time experience ✨️
Keep up the epic work 🤩 🤩
"Thats whats keeping me going"
You guys are killin me😂😂 Great reaction as always!!
Ready for the next episode already 😅. I love to hate Baelish SO MUCH! He plays his part so well. And his monologue at the end is my 2nd favorite monologue in the show, behind Cats story about Jon Snow. RIP Ros! She was an OG. What a terrifying way to go out too.
CHAOS IS A LADDAAHH
lol shout out to Miley
Love you both
😂😂😂 "Don't make me come over there!!" 😂😂😂
Nah fam. Lady O took an L. Tywin locked that one down.
Same is definitely Highborn, he’s Samwell Tarly of Horn Hill, a very prestigious House in the Reach. He’s absolutely supposed to be a big deal in the Reach (Same kingdom the Tyrell’s come from) but his dad is an ass to him (he mentioned it a bit in season 1)
"JONATHAN"
My boy jon laid his game down quite flat on igrit lol
Thanks for the laughs guys!😂
I doubt this is a spoiler, but you guys know that these two actors met on set and got married. Jon and Egrit
Good shit guys 😂😂😂
Pretty sure Jon Snow and the redhead actually got married IRL!
Yay for Friday
RIP Ros
Climbing 70 stories of wall during a blizzard no less....
Yeah. Season 3 may be the best season.
Good day for a comment
You wrote ’game of the climb’ in the title
old granny tyrell used to be a bond girl back in the day. She was pretty foxy
Does Little finger have an older brother called Big Toe....The Bible is dark and full of errors
You may want to fix your episode title. This was a great episode, but you ain't seen nothing yet. Best series in the history of television.
Stannis The Mannis
Jon and yegrit are married in real life
Sam is high born ...
Well…I think it was really HER that was folding like origami while they were both caving. 🤔🤷♀️
Yall need to do something nobody else has and start house of the dragon same time yall watching this
The yapping y’all did during a top 2 best monologue in the show is crazy
They do it a lot, it’s frustrating at times. I hope they learn to talk during quiet scenes and stop yapping during dialog scenes to make sure they’re getting everything cause a few times this series they’ve been confused and I’m sitting here like “Oh I wonder why you don’t know what’s happening, almost like you talked over important dialog again”
I love their reactions to the show, they are funny don’t get me wrong.. just a bit frustrating.
But it’s their channel, it’s how they watch shows and I can’t judge that to hard
She did not won that scene
Tywin won the scene. But we forgive you.
👀
I really hate the way they're treating Edmure in this episode, they're such a bunch of hypocrites
Brynden who threatens to punch him in the face if he doesn't agree to marry, when he himself spent his whole life beefing with his brother because he didn't want to get married
Catelyn who has the nerve to ask if he'd be willing to risk their freedom and victory for the chance of a prettier wife, while Robb did the exact same thing (and he was offered to choose the one he prefered while Edmure is imposed one), and while if they're at war with the Lannisters in the first place it's because her stupid self couldn't listen to Ned and just had to capture Tyrion
At least Robb has the humility to acknowledge that his uncle is paying for his sins, but he still gets on my nerves when he says he's got a war to fight. You didn't seem to mind galavanting in the meadows with Talisa a few episodes ago my good sire, and you sure weren't thinking about no war when you married her
I really hate how patronizing and condescending they are with him, as if he was the only one in that room who made a mistake or two, especially when their own mistakes were so stupid
Considering that one of them caused the war they're currently in, and that another broke his own serment, I think they really should get down of their high horses
I agree with you on the Blackfish, but I think you're adding weight to Cat that isn't hers to carry. Even if Cat had never left Winterfell, Ned would still have found out about Cersei and Jamie, and he still would have been stupid and told Cersei he knew. That's why Robert died, that's why Joffrey became king, and that's why Ned is dead. Saying Cat started the war is just flat-out wrong. Also, she has every right to criticize Edmure on this one because she laid into Robb just as hard.
@@mclizzard2928 I must admit you're right, to be honest I never liked Catelyn's character even in the books where, if I'm not mistaken, she doesn't pressure Edmure as much. So I must really be partial and have "black shades" (I'm french and don't know if this expression really exists in english, if not sorry for the mistake) when it comes to her
@@Nastinkaya we do have a similar idiom. We'll say that someone has "blinders on," like the eye coverings used for horses. But the context was there!
And I do agree that, within the scope of the entire situation, treating Edmure like he was just wildly out of line not supported by the context we get. It really feels like big sister and uncle picking on the baby brother in some ways.
@@mclizzard2928 Well thanks, I didn't know that expression "blinders on". And yeah them pressuring him and reminding him of the mill thing feels like picking on the baby brother, and to me it almost feel like bullying, with all of them three attacking him, especially with that holier than thou attitude. Yeah there are important things at stake with this second marriage offer, but let's not forget who put us in this situation. It's certainly not Edmure's fault if we have to go back to the Freys tail between our legs after having insulted them. And even if the Mountain's head throned in the room planted in a spike they would still need the Freys
This is a week old, so someone probably point it out but: Margery put the arrows in Ros. They had the whole conversation about him wanting to watch Margery kill when he was showing her the crossbow.
On the GOT wiki it says "When Littlefinger finds out she is spying on him for Varys, he gives her to King Joffrey, who wanted to try something 'new and daring'. Joffrey uses Ros as a live target, brutally killing her by having her tied to his bed and shooting her multiple times with a crossbow, his first personal kill." Maybe its different in the books i dunno.
Firstie been a while
yall are my favorite game of thrones reactors, but two things:
1: please react to the histories and lore. we don’t care if they’re “bad” reaction videos.
2: PUT SOME MORE RESPECT ON MY MAN SAMWELL’S NAME
Y'all need a moderator. Too many people dying to tell you what happens before you get to future episodes🙄🙄🙄
There's 4 of us, and we delete as fast as we can.
@@mclizzard2928
Thanks for trying....these spoiler-posting people are the worst. They love hinting then cry when you call them on it.
@@mclizzard2928 sorry. You can only do what you can do when there's this many people determined to ruin it for them. Keep up the good work!
@@sandimcalisterblood2675 no need to be sorry! Folks are getting excited and losing their filters. It's understandable. But there is definitely a part of me as a mod that is in full Mom-going-into-Target mode at this point. Don't look at anything, don't touch anything, don't say anything, or I will take us all straight home!
You guys talk to much...the dialogues between varys and little.finger is one of best dialogues in history of any show I have watched.
