I utterly loved this book! The language, the characters, the plot, and the ending!!!! I know the summer is early, but other novels will need to work really hard to top it. Glad to discover your channel.

The premise went from, “oh no, slow burn romance’’ to “oh, this sounds really interesting” to “showing calves, and Spotify what-now?!” 😆 I admit that do like a past life being brought into modern times, or vice-versa.
Speaking of time travel, my own personal go-to in that rom-com-ish/time-travel genre mashup would be “The Lake House” which is a personal favourite - I own that one on physical media even, and only have a handful remaining in my collection these days.

I may have been on a lot of Advil when I filmed this one 🤣 Oh I've heard of that one! I'll give it a shot.

Great review, though I’m unlikely to try this one despite the positives. Will put it on the ever growing list, but modern romance with a weak main plot and first person narrative sex… just not my cup of tea. If you like big ‘R’ romance it sounds like a fun romp. Gritty sci-fi P+P would be something though (with some humor from the old country). The reading was nice bonus too.

That totally makes sense! It definitely still is a big R romance despite the subplots that focus on subjects most romances don't tackle. I don't read a ton of romance so I was surprised how much I liked it it, but if it didn't have those facets or the Franklin expedition aspect I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much. 🙂

I’m interest to read this but I’m scared that it is not a happy ending 😅 do they end up together? I don’t mind the spoilers hehe

It is a happy ever after, though more implied than directly told. It's definitely not a sad ending!

Wait. Hasn’t this been a spanish tv series for many years? Different characters and better plot.
