Well, my 2cents...I've ridden big bikes my whole life and I am hooked on Hondas mini moto lineup. Have purchased the Monkey, Super Cub and 2 Navis. These things create something in me that can't explain. All the customizing ideas make these bikes awesome to own. Can't wipe the smile from my face!!! I'm still have a big bike but I never ride it?? Minimotos Rule!!!

I gotta say, I just bought the Honda Navi is a very cool city mini bike, plus you can carry a passenger, and gets better mpg then the monkey.. great starter bike or just to have fun with. I've seen videos of people in Peru riding for 8 hours straight over mountain passes and no issues. great little bike.

Navi is something like that...faster then a mule but slower then a horse.
Navi is made for FUN, not speed. Your body and senses are free to enjoy the ride which is INTUITIVE.
I just tell my RED RIDING HOOD where we wanna go and my baby does the rest. You reach in STYLE and get loads of envious eyeballs and open jaws.
Navi is getting the crazy love from the world, except India where it was developed and where I bought it in 2016. Now it is a prized item as Honda stopped making it here. Stupid decision!
Let Navi take you, like starship Enterprise, where you have never been before and you would steal some hearts enroute.
NAVI means NEW in India...and it is innovative in many ways...but it is NOT HARLEY or KTM or HAYABUSA. It is like a cuddly, cute puppy who think you are the world.

I own one of these things (navi)... along with a '21 MT-09. I got shit from all my riding buddies about it, but after they actually tried it they seem to understand the appeal. Easier to toss around NYC streets, fast enough to get yourself in trouble (25 MPH local speed limits), can toss it on the sidewalk so parking is a non-issue and can legally cross toll bridges/tunnels that e-bikes and the like can't do. There is a certain appeal of hooning around on a minimoto around a dense city then proceeding to park it on the sidewalk and grab a quick bite to eat (good luck doing that on a full sized motorcycle). Would a Grom/Monkey be even more fun? Maybe, but the Navi at half the price of either of those is a fun little diversion. Hell, I even took my 70 year old mom on a ride and she said it was fine.

I don’t need a monkey… I need a commuter bike to the train station, where I can swerve around side road traffic a bit, not needing to worry about shifting gears. I also have a compartment space to keep a rain jacket for when I return from my commute from work on the train in case it rains…. Navi has everything I need.
I’ll let my Livewire be the cool talking point motorcycle.

A better Comparison would have been the Navi and the Grom. Clearly that's where it's styling comes from.
The Monkey is based off of a 50cc mini bike from half a century ago, a better question is why is the MONKEY do small? Not why is the Navi so big.
Also, as to lack of clutch taking away from motorcycling; yes... But Honda has full size motorcycles with clutchless shifting too. So don't get too hung up on that.
Steering lock? Yeah that's where all motorcycles used to have them.
It really feels like you guys don't like the Navi and we're forced to do the video. There's a reason why the Navi is less than half the price of the Monkey/Grom.
The Navi needs to be reviewed on its own merits for what it is.

Complaining about the dealer fees adding to the price of the bike is a fair complaint when basically the only positive to the bike is its price - as that seems to be the bike talking point of the machine.
It doesn’t help that the thing is from the stone age. I can forgive the carb, but not a front disk. For money that equates older, used sub-200cc, full-size starter bikes: it at least needs a front disk brake.
Let’s be honest, these were kicked off the subcontinent because they couldn’t pass tightening emissions and Honda still had the ability to manufacture more.

    • @Boba80223
      @Boba80223 2 года назад

I have an Enduro 250 and a monkey. If you're planning to do any trail riding, I'm sure the monkey could handle most of it, except for mud and rocks. The exhaust goes down really low and is the lowest part of the bike, so the Enduro is the clear choice for that. If you're just getting a bike to cruise on the streets, than monkey is the way to go. It's super comfortable, and a pleasure to ride. Can't say that about my klx250s because of the narrow and tall seat. I bought the monkey to mess around on, but after getting it, I fell in love with the bike so much, that I felt bad for reving it too high and getting it dirty. Everything is just so shiny and beautiful that I wanna keep it that way. I also installed rear foot pegs and it's so fun to have two people on that thing 😂. Not much space, but it's doable for small people. Good luck on your purchase

😂🤣😂 First world problem your bike has a choke lever and you have to turn on your fuel. My Honda XL 500 on top of all that was kick starter only and had a decompression lever. I might also add there was no fuel injection back then either and my bike could be a real bitch to start.

IF I had to choose between the 2, the Monkey. I would leave the Navi at the dealership and buy an EV bike for around town for the price. And that is my 2 cents. :)

In 20 years someone will still love that Monkey and the Navi will be trash. The Navi reminds me of the old Evil Knievels STP wind up motorcycle toy from back in the day. Plus it's a freaking scooter. But I'd but an adventure bike for a little more as opposed to buying a Monkey. Only because highway Mike's are a thing here where I live. 90% of the time the Monkey would serve my purpose perfectly. But would lack that last 10%.

They require an endorsement, registration, and a motorcycle policy for them. They get over 50 mph and have more than twice the size engine of a Rukus or such.
