- Take a look around my Sprinter Ex-ambulance that me and my dog now call home.
It was not originally meant to last more than one adventurous trip around Europe, but I soon got a soft spot for the van and decided to fix and keep it.
The last tour I did was a long time ago so it was about due an updated version.
This was mainly recorded through the pandemic and lockdown so a few areas are hap hazard at the moment, but that's usually how I roll anyway.

Could You use a LHD one for Your manual conversion, too? 316 are cheap around here - I'd take a running TDI Landy RHD as a swap.

I work for the Ambulance Service, I think this is a fantastic end to an amazing workhorse. I love it! People have said do you think about how many people have died, I hope you think about how many lives it has saved, how many lives started in the back with babies being born, it is brilliant! Well done!
And now we can look forward to how many babies are made on this machine. Lol.

Mad how effective the colour scheme is I would never think of painting a van that colour but it really works
My grandad bought an old ambulance with the plan of converting it, but he's a superstitious man and having it parked on his drive gave him pretty lucid nightmares. He sold it before I had the money/knowledge to take it on and I'm still gutted it never came to be. Wicked van dude 👍🏻

wouldn't they have died on the geosynchronous spot? I doubt they would be attached to the van, if they actually existed (which they don't)
Man after my own heart...I just took a 1987 ambulance 1,500 miles cross country and out to the wilderness...I slapped on 200watts of solar on the roof and hit the road. And yeah...paint...ahahahahhaha...mine is fire engine red, no chance of going "stealth"...it was on the agenda to go all out on paint, make it look show room new, but then I remembered why I bought it...4X4 roads in the wild you'd never dare take an "RV." Mine is more compact than yours, less head room, but love it all the same, epic storage and high ground clearance.
I'll be honest at times it felt the size of a NYC apartment, it's impressive I dream of stuff like this 😍

Very cool. It does apocalyptic on the outside, but that's really cool. And it's like the ultimate bachelor pad on the inside :) I love the dark colours and lights. Bedroom was clever idea. Well done.

My old man converted one and we had many holidays traveling around Britain. Ingenuity is the mother of invention it's a well known fact. Great self build, not pampered and pimped up. 😀👍
Absolutely spot with the engine remap. They are boosted up by the NHS mechanics same as the Police and fire service engines. They are all remapped and given extra power. Don’t ask me how because I’m not a mechanic but I know from a friend of mine who’s a Police car mechanic.

Ahhh! totally missed this van tour when I asked for a more recent one! Always glad to see a lived in van build really hope I can afford to make one myself some day!
I watch and subscribe to a lot of van life videos and they all have one thing in common , everyone says how great the van is even when it`s crap lol,
yours on the other hand is honestly fantastic and definitely in the top 5 vans i`ve ever seen and that included £100k + vans , its amazing how you have squeezed so much in without it looking or feeling cramped and claustrophobic .
I give you 99 out of 100 , you lose a point because after redoing your roof liner the campervan sofa material needs jazzing up now.
Great vid , keep safe and only a few more years of lock down and you can go rescuing sunken boats , be chased by well witches and bend your wheels on fallen trees again .

Conversion is smashing ! Love it ! Could see myself living in all but the overcab bedroom. Think I would have to widen or "something" the entry. Great idea.. ..but my personal chassis is too large. What a fantastic fantastic conversation...in all the years working on ambo's...I would of never of dreamed of such a wonderful conversion............when we had manual gearbox bloody awful though on acceleration 1st gear hit Rev limiter at approx 25 mph...very quick gear shifts required...but stuck to the road like nothing I know....which was handy as not to lose all that hard earned speed.lol.........
