I had to rewind 3 times. First to figure out what happened, then twice more to relish.
Clark played 38 minutes and did not lead in any stat category - points, assists or rebs. Remember ‘I wanna be like Mike?’ Well it seems Fever had the mantra ‘I’m gonna make a mark like Clark:’ Mitchell lead in scoring (again) w/23. Hull in rebs with 8 (Boston & Smith w/6 @). And Boston in assists with 8.
But how many easy lay ups ( 9 ) in total 7 off CC assists + 4 dumb turnovers doesn't help the score line either .There's still a lot of improvement to be worked out .

She’s a ball hog and missed like 4 wide open players playing “me” ball. She’s good but could be great if she learned to pass more. I call players like her parasites. She benefits from all of the attention AB and CC draw, and it’s good that she takes advantage but it’s overall bad for the team. If CC wasn’t there she wouldn’t be able to sustain these scoring numbers.

@bobrowers Mitchell has been the best and most consistent Fever offensive player. Her FG% and three point % are better than Clark's. She doesn't turn the ball over anywhere near as much as Clark does. Mitchell is a veteran. She's the leader.
@@Benzy-d3u If that was all that was needed then why have the Fever been one of the worst teams in the league. Mitchell has been with them for 5-6 years. How come all of sudden now she is so good. The Fever only made one player change this season. Seriously - look at the first games and watch Mitchell hog the ball and the Fever lose a lot. And after the break there is a change - she waits for Clark to give it to her when she is open. And all of sudden she can score easily and her % is up.

Kesley Mitchell is killing it right now (and has been doing great all season anyway), but if she were to become more of a threat to give out assists then that would be a huge deal for the team. The defense already has to deal with CC's playmaking abilities, but with KM+CC handing out assists it would be far more difficult. Hopefully CC's shooting gets a little better in the off-season as well. And Indiana needs to make sure they are keeping NS, AB, and KM along with CC.

CT lost cause Mabrey was coming off the bench again. No where to be found most of the 1st quarter. This is a borderline allstar calibre player that had 1 bad game, and now punished a lifetime. Is a tragedy.
They definitely needed more minutes from Mabrey. She kept them close when the fever were going off.

Love what CC22 is doing on offence but she needs to scramble back on D, especially on her own TOs. I'm not expecting Bron-style chase down blocks but you got to show some effort, especially when you're a rookie and emerging face of the league.
CC is now averaging 18 points per game (Aja was at 18.3 in 2021) and leading the league in assists and 3s made. Leading all rookies in scoring. Let her cook. Edit… she is now 2nd in 3s made after Kayla’s game.
She’s shot 200 more 3s than A’ja did in 2021 yet is averaging the same, actually .3 less 😂 but that’s y’all’s GOAT. Hmmm.

As a watcher of CC I’m critical of her hustle on defense she can’t be doing that especially when the playoffs come around
That will only evolve with time. I do agree she makes to many defensive mistakes such as giving them space on the 3s and dumb reach ins. Freaking beast on offense though. Katie lou needs to get outta here and maybe Hull. Taking valuable spots for a potential championship team In the coming years. CC could use a star defensive player and another good player on offense would be good. I am liking Hull now but still on the fence about here staying during the CC era.
