  • A quick overview and demonstration of the Lift Mate (tyre lift assist) accessory for use with a high lift (Hi Lift) jack.
    The Hi-Lift Jack is a very useful 4x4 off-road recovery and multi-purpose tool. It can be useful in situations where a 4wd vehicle may have to be: winched, lifted, turned around on a tight track etc. It can also be used a multi-purpose tool for: spreading, clamping, reseting a bead on a vehicle's tyre, using the removable pole/handle as an extension pole for extra leverage on a wrench or ring spanner etc.

    Thank you for posting this video. I have just purchased a high lift jack for my Navarra & then found that the jacking points beneath the beast were almost inaccessible for a high lift
    . I thought that the lift assist might suit my purpose & your video just confirmed that fact.

    Can you use something like this on sand… A soft base without the high lift jack kicking out? Thanks

    What situation would I need to lift the wheel by the wheel? Sorry just curious

    • @NJSInstructional
      @NJSInstructional  5 лет назад +9

      You could use this for example in lifting a wheel out of a rut or trying to clear a rock or lifting the wheel to place a traction aid device underneath (eg. Maxtrax). You could even use this to help with winching (see my winching video). Hope this helps.

      Lift the wheel, shove some rocks or logs underneath for more clearance.

    I do think this could be useful but you can not change a tire with this as it attaches to it!

    • @spencerm106
      @spencerm106 4 года назад +2

      It's used with the addition of a jack stand to change a wheel.

      @@spencerm106 can you explain this? Bc I thought the same thing. How could I change a tire when this is attached to the tire I’d be taking off

    • @spencerm106
      @spencerm106 3 года назад +3

      You jack the car up (via the wheel), place a jack stand under the chassis, drop/release the jack. Change the tyre. It's not rocket science.
