Hey reaching out to all PLUR fam from 97-2001 NOLA. I am looking for old footage from state palace, Audubon park after parties, Riverboat Hallelujah, and other various locals only rave-caves like the old ambassador hotel (before they remodelled it) wearhouse parties, etc. I am writing a book about my time in the scene and what it was like from the view point of the core Group of constants that were at every single rave, knew everyone, lived the lifestyle not just weekend escapes, the real rave scene. Not the view from the stage or the ticket office, not the media version of mass drugs and glowsticks, but the reason we showed up and shelled out $30 to sit in the lobby of the second floor hugging, massaging and tickling elmos. The people who knew the trade value of a beaded bracelet and a bottle of cold water around 4am was immeasurable. There are a few ppl who I would love to catch up with and if you know them can you please pass on my contact info to them. OK here is just a few I'm wanting to touch base with for inclusion in the book. They professionally fucked me up when I saw them live in the day.wish I could remember the x I was on,cuz the rabbit was allmost too much for us..we had to chill in the bleachers as the world they were giving us was melting away, and we could not control it anymore.they were so out of control live that I couldn't even move my body half way threw the set..100% best show ever on damn good x.
Me and the crew experienced many of these party's here at the state palace theater , but this was Zulu 4 1997 bye far the best party I've took part in miss that feeling !!!

This was zoolu 6. 2000. I was on the third floor balcony watching this with a friend sitting at the overhang looking down. Rabbit came on after tini tun. Dj three played before tini tun. Josh wink played after Rabbit and Doc Martin played after Wink. Best night ever.

Seth Wolfe not everyone that raved was a junkie bro. I didn't pop molly or get all tweeked out and I never missed a show. I did do a lil powder from time to time but that was more uncommon to find and didn't really vibe with the tone of the crowd so it wasn't a regular thing for me. But non the less, I have lost more friends in recovery than I ever did when I was in the scene. Just saying.

Great video! I miss New Orleans. I visited there for the first time Mardi Gras 1995. That's when I saw Rabbit In the Moon for the 1st time at Zoolu and had my mind blown. I ended up moving there in January of 1998, and came back to NY in July of 2004. I was looking to see if I knew anyone in the comments here, but it's hard to tell. I used to to bartend Uptown at Roberts Bar on Calhoun Street. If any of you used to go there prior to July 2004, we may know each other.

Holly shit I was there. With our newly found friends visiting from NYC "Brooklyn Terror Squad" who'd previously burned us in the parking lot for fake Ecstasy. Quickly returned the favor buy paying off security so we could watch the show from the side balconies that were off limits & much more intimate. Only to realize their good favor by reimbursing the con in the parking lot was being paid back 10 fold by posing as cops & burning all the over intoxicated ravers. Mad sus sketchy as fuc.

Sunday Hoke YES!!! THIS WAS AMAZING. We we upstairs on the first level railing, straight ahead. When Electric Skychurch opened their set with the electric guitar solo, we all almost lost it!!! I have no pics from any of those days. But I Will NEVER FORGET THIS SHOW!! Ive managed to hold onto two cd’s, one with the obvious, “Out of Body Experience”. 00:08:48 Idk which number Zoolu this one was, been to quite a few, just know it was one of the first few, and amazed it’s still going... but it will never be like it was then!!
