    As a hris analyst and THE poster child for the introverts....this job is GOLD. I don't have to talk to anyone, can work from my bedroom and can keep my kids at home instead of daycare. I was an accountant for 15 years, worked my way to CAO, and I hated it. The people-ing ain't for me.

      How did you get to this point? I've been in HR for 4 years and I love it to a degree. I've always been interested in data and figured it'd be nice to marry the two.

      @drinaceballos8888 I changed my resume a little to highlight the tasks I did in accounting that they also do as an analyst...and then started interviewing. I may have lied here and there but after training, I was good to go 😅

      @drinaceballos8888 its also not as complicated as it may seem. Most times I'm making reports and checking for merging errors. Very simple stuff

    I love this! ive been trying to figure out how to get in the HRIS analyst position. Just left an HR Generalist position and just got hired as an HR Manager. We need some type of course to learn how to really be an HRIS analyst. I am definitely trying to make this my new position in my career. Tech and HR. My two fave things!

    Glad I found this video, I have over 5 years of HR experience, starting as a third-party FMLA claims examiner for an insurance to doing FMLA administration in-house for another company. I currently work in HR Employee Services processing unemployment claims while assisting with calls involving payroll, onboarding, etc. I'm interested in HR Analytics and will be taking a course to boost my skillset.

      Take your time & focus on getting into a dedicated HR Department & work on ALL things HR before diving into this role. I’m not saying it’s not attainable, just make it easier to get the job & to have a better learning curve. I doubt a course will be enough 🥴

    I’ve been in HR in strategic employee development for 20 years and I’m so tired of the people. I don’t want to be an HRBP I just want to work with data not people. I think HR Analyst may be for me. Looking for training.

    • @HeyyyHR
      @HeyyyHR  6 месяцев назад +1

      Training? 🤔 That’s a reach bc all companies don’t need the same things from analysts. I would say start with learning Excel REALLY well & Tableau or Power BI AFTER or while learning HR

    Hello Timeka, I'm a graduate student getting my masters in I/O Pscyhology with an concentration in HR. I'm looking into focusing becoming an HR Analyst. Would getting an HR analytic certification give me an advantage with having a masters, or just try and get an internship? Hope to hear from you soon.

    I'm not agree with the idea that hris analyst is specialised on particular system. I think that he knows the processes and understand through different systems. Sorry if my English is bad, it is a french opinion 😊

    • @HeyyyHR
      @HeyyyHR  5 месяцев назад

      Oh no! I totally agree. To make it easier for the masses to understand, I referenced one system but most analysts know multiple systems. Wow! French. So happy to hear from you! 💜💜

    What is schedule like for an hr professional? Do you work on holidays ?

    • @HeyyyHR
      @HeyyyHR  9 месяцев назад +1

      That depends on multiple factors, like the type of company, the industry, the type of HR position, etc. I aim for positions and companies where HR does not work on holidays because I like spending that time with my family and being a couch potato! lol
