Just found your channel. Initially I thought it was some fancy art installation!!! Going to steal your idea to use on my 50acre off grid patch of Tassie bush. Hoping it will stand up to the 100km+ winds we get here sometimes? Love that it is adjacent to the driveway for mud free access ❤️

Absolutely cracking! I have a wood fire and a log store (pre-built kind) and also have an electric/hydraulic log splitter (much smaller than yours of course) and find it very, very therapeutic splitting and stacking. Brilliant work man! 🙂👍

Thats a great firewood rack, and makes for a nice fence too.

That looks fantastic, but shouldn't we be a bit shy about it falling down to one side ?

in a pinch, a spade shovel separates pallets pretty easy

Great repurpose of those skids! Not sure why you load the wheelbarrow and then dump it where you're going to stack it, just take it out of the wheelbarrow and save a step, and your back!

    Is the roof enough?

It's just there to stop the worst of the weather while they season for a couple of years and then they'll go into an actual log store ready to be used on the fire

@@project.restoration yes. I thought so too. I use a bit more overhang with the roofing. I will try this smaller width. Thanks

Poor use of space. Should have stacked them three.

Thanks for watching but I disagree,
To suit our needs we have the whole length of the tree line that is free space to stack the logs but we need the width as it is where we park our cars so stacking them in threes would reduce the parking available, the second reason is that by single stacking them it increases air flow and allows the sun to reach every log resulting in a faster drying time we plan to use these logs as soon as possible as we have some fencing work planned around the tree line you can see in the video and finally, it provides a nice privacy screen until we start the fencing project.
