what is the best way to learn unity and create gaming apps for android/ios and maybe eventually steam? is Unity's free training course good to begin?
Learning vudeo game design doesn't happen overnight so why couldn't you watch the video
I doubt anyone goes into game dev thinking it wont take a lot of time to learn
This is why I prefer Unity Learn instead. Tutorials there are much more clear, precise and detailed for beginners or experts (Depends). I used to learn from RUclips too but then a single/series videos can only teach you so much before you run into unexpected problems.
the documentation can help you with that, since, differently from most tools and frameworks around, unity offers a good well organised documentation which makes me feel happy everytime i open it

imo brackeys provided a very limited/ shallow understanding of unity. he rarely explained the use cases and really only walked you through one way of doing things, when in coding there are oftentimes a variety of ways to complete a process, and you should choose a specific way depending on the context. imo udemy has a lot better courses...but yeah i had exactly the same experience >:(
