I love Digimon and this game was really cool! It takes a lot of trial and error to figure out what works, best ways to spend your days, training etc. but the payoff felt very rewarding. I need to play through Digimon World: Next Order as I have a digital copy on my PS4
@@TotalLevelYT Next Order is a bit better in terms of ease as it records evolution requirements and you can "lock" evolutions later in the game to stop you getting them and force your two down a certain path (as long as you meet requirements still) plus having two partners gets a bit tricky at the start but other than that it's a bit hit and miss. It's a fun game but the difficulty is all over the shop. I keep meaning tog etc it on switch so I can try the new beginner mode (not on PS4) as it's a fun game to play, just needed to be easier in places.
@@sweetradishgaming survive is a decent one. Combo visual novel and strat RPG. Its in its own subseries rather than the World or Story subseries. I bet you'd enjoy Digimon Story Cybersleuth (Switch, Steam, PS4). More of an ordinary chapter based RPG without the raising virtual pet stuff.
I have never played a Digimon game, but to be fair, Let's Go Pikachu is the only Pokèmon game I've played to completion 😂 Looking at this gameplay might have piqued my interest 🤔
@@GenerationPixel it takes a bit to get into and unlike Pokémon where you just play it as an a actual standard RPG, this one you will fail on evolving a lot and then you rush through to die of old age to try again, though some "wrong" evolutions are actually needed for some bits. It's definitely a thinking-persons RPG rather than just being difficult for the sake of difficulty. I love it!
@@bundjohn yeah the show is misleading in that it's "one true evolution path" (bar one or two very minute exceptions for story purposes) but in reality it follows real evolution more closely. Even dying as certain Digimon can be used to evolve or mistreating them or overfeeding them or letting them poo too much etc. it's all meant to be trial and error and as back then we wrote things down I assume the expectation was for you to record what worked etc (like drawing your own dungeon maps for games) It's actually an outstanding system when you get into it
@@bundjohn so each season of the show is effectively its own thing apart from the first two which follow on. So season 3 onwards can be parked (though season 3 is epic as youll know) There are 4 films for the original two seasonsthe first 3 films hacked and put together but they have more to them in the original Japanese (the 3rd film is missing an entire section of the plot!) so you watch the first film (which is a 10 min special) followed by season 1 of the anime. Then the second film happens. The second season follows with the 3rd film kicking off someway halfway through the season. After season 2 is the 4th film. (Which hasn't come outside of Japan yet but will be soon finally) Then a couple of years pass and we get Adventure Tri which is about 9 hours (6 long movie episodes) then finally we end up with Last Evolution Kizuna to wrap it all up for the season 1 kids. Just released a few months ago is Digimon Adventure 02 the beginning which is after Kizuna and wraps things up for the season 2 kids. *Phew* that's it in a nutshell. There's a load of other semi-canon stuff with 4 Wonderswan games set alongside season 1 & 2 with Ryo who ends up going to the season 3 universe (yep, same guy from season 3) and season 3 has a couple of films for it as well (one partway through, one set after) Man I spend too much time in this franchise sometimes 😂

@@gullpayne cheers mate. A shame this one never got a PSN release because it would be great on the PSP.

Digimon is such a good franchise. GG.

I didn’t realise the mechanics wasn’t related to the show in any way! Fishing!!!!!!!
