@Gaming_For_Ages Golden Sun is the gold standard in my opinion. It's my #1 game of all time and as it's by Camelot you know it's quality (I mean, the 8-32bit Shining Series tells you all you need to know) and there's so much similarity in style to Shining Force 3 and Holy Ark with the character models and the use of text bubble expressions and motion of the characters to tell a story, notwithstanding the awesome Motoi Sakuraba score that SF3/Holy Ark and Golden Sun all have! @@bundjohn turbo tunnel is the first major difficulty spike. Once you get used to it, it's not so bad and there is a hidden warp in it to skip a level or two!

@@subliminalvcr I'm not a constant user but since I got it I've picked up the odd thing. So far I've enjoyed Astrobots Rescue Mission, Star Trek Bridge Crew and this for things I've bought. Some of the free stuff is decent also

@subliminalvcr battle zone I haven't but I did both the star wars VRs (as I already had Squadrons and Battlefront)

@ Battlezone is excellent, particularly in multiplayer. You even get the old school original game too!

@@marcgoesblindgaming2076 this was on VR specifically (hence the huge amounts of looking around) though as you said, it's now been retooled so you can play it without. It's very cool having full access to lots of buttons on the consoles to do little things. I wonder if they'd tied it in with the PS move it would've felt even more like you were there

Haha definitely not! I now have 4 light guns for the Wii and Ghost Squad has a 4 player mode so it's going to be a couch co-op party mode at my place sometimes 😂 In America they didn't get the Winchester. They got dual revolvers which I also want to get at some point.

@@bundjohn I got into a non-ranked room this afternoon and got my arse utterly handed to me by someone playing Shun Di so perhaps I was just lucky 😂 2 on the MD is an ok beat em up for what it is. 32X VF is pretty damned good as they could use the Saturn port as a base and try to improve it where they could.

@@subliminalvcr last night someone was but every time I've tried to do a rank match before I've just sat there in perpetual training mode with nobody to fight.

@ I’ve played more of it and my opinion of the game has grown. Replaying levels I know I feel like a badass if I don’t be cautious and instead for the enemies instead 😁

@@dibbsgaming in glad you enjoyed it mate bi too fell in love with the MegaCD from the get go when I played one in 1993. I enjoyed all the FMV games (I almost included Road Avenger and Cobra Command but didn't want to oversaturate the vid with FMV games and steer from too many common titles) The level of disrespect the CD gets is precisely why John Bunday, myself and a couple others have started the MegaCD appreciation society (on John's channel) and he has converted loads of games that were NTSCU or unreleased to work on PAL systems. So much greatness!

@ Sunsoft definitely on point here. Never bought it bitd as the graphics look like a bland Amiga game if I’m being brutally honest. Played the NES version a fair bit over the years, I think this plays pretty similar?

That one's on the mini 2 quite handily along with the Ninja Warriors (though I used your PAL copy to video originally I went with the mini 2 one to boost the pic quality due to not feeding the signal through a converter) A few that need translating before conversion too (particularly Shadowrun!)

@ Shadowrun is still being worked on, I even offered to help on the discord for the translation group but didn’t hear back 😂

@@Gaming_For_Ages I say it as one word (Sil-feed) and always have so that's what I stick with. More than happy to chat about Mega CD anytime mate if you want recommendations. I just love spreading a love of games (sega focussed or not) and hopefully when the Mega CD Appreciation Society eps get a bit more off the ground me and the other 3 lads can drive home one game at a time how good it was.
