One thing to learn from all the South Indian artists is their humbleness. Be it huge superstar actors, great directors or music directors like Anirudh. They are always grounded and respectful. One virtue which everyone should learn.

Had gone to Chennai in 2014 for my masters. Didn't know a word of Tamil. My second week there, all my classmates on campus were playing songs from Kaththi. I lost my mind, no one else in mainstream Hindi or Punjabi music was making music like this. Been following his work for nine years now, he's gone from strength to strength. Him and Sid Sriram are probably the most talented musician and singer respectively in mainstream music in India . His tribute to Rajanikanth in Jailer is a masterpiece of tribute songs. The definition of kick-ass.
I started knowing him from Vikram, only then came to realise he is the same guy who created Kolaveri D but what boggles my mind is, Lokesh gave him full freedom for the film's music and Anirudh totally hit it out of the park. I mean no film's music can be compared with Vikram in terms of quality and quantity. Simply Genius
To me also, Vikram feels like his best work to date. The songs and background score does not conform to the traditional mass commercial film music and has a distinct identity to it. Wish we could get more like that.
Absolutely absolutely agree !!! Vikram was just so many notches higher than anything he had done before, and the movie was just inundated with genius-level BGMs.....in fact it started with the Vikram Title Reveal video that was released on Kamal's birthday.....in those couple of minutes itself, it was clear Anirudh had reached a different planet wrt his music.
Vikram is great! But, personally for me, Katthi (Not kaithi) was his best work... Literally, Every Bgm in that movie was lit🔥. He is yet to beat his own work, Atleast for me...

Anirudh should have won national award for his work in Vikram, its his best till date, he tried entirely out and out a different genre no one has attempted for a movie in India before. Moreover the music is so international standard.

I notice always, when tamil talented artist, scientist or other intelligent people giving interview, they are honest and enjoy talking about their work because they really know whet they do. So they don’t fake or flirt or act wired to get more attention. Because they are real and unique!❤ Love it!
Lately, he’s got me thinking, how is he able to manage time. He does things as if time runs slowly for him. If there are around three projects running parallel, I lose it at work, how is this guy able to deliver so much good music without any issues in meeting deadlines. This interview was just wholesome.
we never know the timeline of each of those projects. The movies release at the same time but it doesn't mean he worked too for those movies at a point of time all at once. The timeline differs for production and release

Right decision by Anirudh to talk to only high caliber journalist who does good interviewing sessions This was a great interview the way to actually listen keenly to how Anirudh processes or works to have an idea how keenly he is learning etc If he had been giving interviews to every RUclipsr so called channels mostly 4 or 5 pseudo intellectual anchors try to make a point or impress either the audience or the celebrity and spoils the essence of actually listening to a creative artist I liked this interview especially a writer who’s keen to bring out the best out of this chat Nice
Great interview. This boy is such a class act. So much achieved in such a young age. Hope he has many more decades of musical prowess in him. So many of the commercial blockbusters would not be half the success they are today if not for his terrific musical contributions. On a side note, the poor boy looks sleepless working overtime for his entire lineup of commitments. Way too much pressure on him that could lead to burn outs. Hope he takes a break soon and stays fresh.
I really appreciate anupama unlike other interviewers, where there will always be cringe attached to it, to talk about rajini sir, talk about srk, where as its more towards anirudh's craft and his achievements, I really wish many other interviews and interviewers to be as sensible as this one , and a again it's so good to see Ani talking so sensibly without taking any star reference ! Lately, he’s got me thinking, how is he able to manage time. He does things as if time runs slowly for him. If there are around three projects running parallel, I lose it at work, how is this guy able to deliver so much good music without any issues in meeting deadlines. This interview was just wholesome.
we never know the timeline of each of those projects. The movies release at the same time but it doesn't mean he worked too for those movies at a point of time all at once. The timeline differs for production and release

Great interview. This boy is such a class act. So much achieved in such a young age. Hope he has many more decades of musical prowess in him. So many of the commercial blockbusters would not be half the success they are today if not for his terrific musical contributions. On a side note, the poor boy looks sleepless working overtime for his entire lineup of commitments. Way too much pressure on him that could lead to burn outs. Hope he takes a break soon and stays fresh.
