The mavs have been playing lights out defense for two months now, and people still don’t realize it. There’s no reason to think this team will stop playing elite defense (assuming everyone stays healthy). I even like the way we match up against the size of Denver, OKC, and Minny.
Let’s go. Let the best team win.
I can see how something like Lively/Gafford-Jokic; Kleber-Gordon and PJ-MPJr could potentially work, and last serious regular season game against OKC didn't show much to be concerned about in regard of their size.
But with the primary big on Gobert, who would be a good matchup for KAT? I mean, PJ has a 7'2" wigspan and plays much bigger than his size (on top of being an absolute elite defender), but can he hold a 250lb 7-footer? I'm pretty sure Maxi can't.

Kahwi is not right yet. Don't think he will be. Mavs D is outstanding, and Kai is feasting in the second half. Luka controlled the game throughout, and 13 lobs is hard for any team to deal with. I called Mavs in 6 before game one, but wouldn't be surprised if it goes Mavs in 5.

Respect all veterans on the Clippers roster...Kawai Leonard and Clay Thompson were my two favorite payers I would watch in the NBA, but then...but then the New Kids of Dallas rolled in or drafted!! Dallas current roster is more prepared/skilled to moving onto 2nd round than Clippers.

That’s just false. The clippers and mavs were still playing the third quarter and the clips won by 12 in game 1 with the Mavs continuing to keep it around 15 the entire second half. If they didn’t have the worst first half ever they would’ve been a position to win that game too
