He did his crime for the DWI just as many others, and guess what, every MLB team has players with something, everyone has baggage in some way or another.

      Which is why the best line of defense against somebody trying to piss you off is to just ignore them. It's less time and energy. And you don't give the person the satisfaction of thinking/knowing that they've helped in ruining your day.

      @Thomas Austin they were finally healthy, and in a groove, something that took them until September to get. Carpenter did his job, he retired undefeated in World Series games with a staggering 3-0 record, 2.00 ERA, 19 K's, 5 BB's, 27 innings, from 4 starts.

That's just poor journalism at its finest. It seemed like those idiots asking the same questions cared more about getting a reaction from him than anything. You don't have to be a genius or longtime reporter to know what they were doing was just lazy and obnoxious.

    Why do Managers in baseball have to give a pregame and post game press conference? That's 324 a year! Ridiculous. One press conference a week for 10 minutes is plenty.

    I remember I went to the second game of this season vs. the Padres and the Cardinals got the shit kicked out of them. Chase Headly hit a bomb like 450 feet off Boggs in the upper deck.

    These reporters are lucky he stuck around as long as he did. "Do you recall the ball carrying better most other years in this part of the season?" LMAO how he stayed after that one I have no idea. I can only imagine them asking WH 'Do you recall players running faster most other years in this part of the season compared to this one?' Whitey would've thrown a half empty beer at them, then walked out.

    I've never understood why baseball managers are obligated to to this 162 times a year. Why do they have to justify every strike or ball, every hit or error that occurred during a game?

      Yeah, well there are beat reporters hired by several of the area's media companies to cover the team on a game by game basis. They have to produce recaps of the games, stories about the games, comments from the players and coaches along with their own commentary each and every day. Those beat reporters are paid to do a job, too.

    @leem2828 No, just Joe Girardi, Torre was better but still only won with the leagues highest payroll. Spending 200+ million each year the Yanks should atleast put them in the WS every year, not just win 1 title in 10 yrs. Look what Gardenhire, Leyland and LaRussa have done with far less, Cards and Twins before this year never hit 100 million, yet TLR has 2 WS appearances, 1 Title in the same time and MN competes post season. When did I compare the two 'organizations'? Easy question, answer it.

    The Reds win one division title and act like Rose and Bench's era is back. In reality, the Reds haven't won a single post season game since 1995. The cards have dominated the Reds and every other team in the central for almost a generation now. They're the Reds, not the Yankees. Just take it down a notch. You seem delusional.
