@don s yeah but they are going to breed new variants, that may not be stopped by the vaccine, that is my issue. If they were only hurting themselves I would be less concerned, but variants grow from transmissions, so while they spread the virus around they may create a stronger variant that gets all of us.
Since the vaccine does not stop infection or transmission, what's the difference between a Vax Xed person and an unvaxxed person regarding the threat of transmission?

I’m vaccinated, and I don’t feel like I’m being punished by masks being required again. I’m doing my part. It doesn’t hurt me to use a piece of cloth, keep my distance, and washing up. Quit framing it negatively because it isn’t a bad thing to promote the general welfare.

Sadly I live in Iowa & both my husband and I are immuno compromised. We’ve both been fully vaccinated & realize it’ll still be some time before we can eat out or go to the movies. We get our groceries & meds delivered or our kids pick them up for us.

Here in my little Texas town that I live in where I am fully vaccinated, I still wear a mask if I'm going to any of the three stores that I normally go to because of my little town of under 2000, everyone & their brother insist that they are fully vaccinated yet they for the most part have not worn masks through the pandemic and our funeral home has done a booming business. BTW, our little no-name pharmacy has not had one single dose of the vaccine to this point so I'm very grateful for a kindly pastor and access to the VA.
If I were you, I'd move out of Texas period. My neighbor from Odessa just moved last year, we broke ground on her new house a year ago tomorrow. It's been a very GOOD memorable year.

Next time you have your health check, see if they can check on your blood clotting. They say that is one of the side effects of the shot is that the body does not clot and the brain over clots. Just saying this for your own health, and not to scare you. The other thing is watch for people you might know who got the shot that die in their sleep or die when they had no sign of an illness. I wonder if the ones who got this shot when they get covid again if they just fall over dead and it is not put down as covid by something like a heart attack.

Even if send every unvaccinated person to a different area or plant, Covid would still spread among your 70% who are vaccinated. Covid cases are obviously happening because people are traveling, partying, etc.
It is expected to happen, when we removed the mask. The idea is to be able to handle it, I got my shorts, but when I enter stores, or areas with unknown people, I Wear a Mask.

@@tulanzuya That's easy. The covid cases, hospitalizations and deaths didn't start going down until AFTER the vaccines were ramping up all over the country back in January into February.
Second, the recent surge in the Delta variant is causing a rise in hospitalizations and 98% of those are UN vaccinated. So just on probability we know a lot of those unvaccinated had covid.
@@michaeldeierhoi4096 - Just on probability, the rates of C19 would have been declining anyway a year after it first appeared, so it isn't certain that vaccinations after the fact had any significant impact on C19 rates.
Secondly, you or I have no practical way of knowing if that 98% statistic is actually true. They could simply say it, and it becomes accepted. It's not as if they never deliberately lied to us about this virus before.
I propose that people that doesn't want vaccinate should buy a $60K heath insurance
Let's talk about why three people who were vaccinated got COVID.
There's been a whole lot more than that, because the vaccine is not 💯 percent effective. Most people know that, it's 85 - 90 percent effective. Which makes it highly effective.
Because everyone has Covid at this point, it's up to your immune system to keep you alive
Because it's only 88% effective with delta. Or, 12% can get sick.

I have YET to hear HOW the Delta Variant is “more easily transmissible”! I think we NEED to know! If no one can explain to us exactly how that works, how are we to protect ourselves, other than to remain masked, as I have, though fully vaccinated?
It binds more easily to the ACE-2 receptor, thus can more readily enter a cell.
Hey, I've been an information/news junky for 50 years. Covid is spread through the air. The Delta Varient has 1000 times more infectious nodes than the original virus and can infect someone in 5 to 8 seconds. If one is double vaccinated it is still possible to get infected with the Delta Varient, become a spreader, but not have any symptoms, (assimtimatic spreader) , spreading the Delta Varient to the non vaccinated. The greater danger is Covid mutates through community spread; meaning the Delta Varient could further mutate amoungst the non vaccinated and end up eventually creating a more potent varient that could be immune to the vaccines we currently have, putting all of us at risk once again. Another factor not spoken about too much is: long haul debilitating covid symptoms. 25% of Covid patients experience mild symptoms initially, but then experience symptoms like shortness of breath, fatigue, headaches, and brain fog. These symptoms on average last 3 to 4 months. However 20% of these people experience long haul symptoms for much longer, that are more severe and debilitating, many not able to work at their job. There are over 200 identified long haul symptoms now. Double vaccinated individuals do not appear to experience long haul symptoms, and if they do get sick, (break-through infections) their symptoms are mild. The Delta Varient has recently been infecting younger people who are not vaccinated. The lag time from infection to displaying symptoms is much shorter with the Delta Varient, and the degree of illness is more intense, although the death rate so far is on par with death rates pre varients. It's too early to know in regards to the Delta Varient and long haul symptoms. Even children are now beginning to get severely ill from the Delta Varient, although most of them still are assimtimatic spreaders. I've only had one vaccination, so I will continue to wear my mask indoors in public spaces until I'm Double Vaccinated and may continue to do so afterwards, as my sister in law is immune system compromised, can't take the vaccine, and I wouldn't want to infect her and be the spreader causing her potential long term debilitating symptoms or her death.
I'm not a medical professional but this is what I have gathered as of last night. I hope this helps. Be careful. This ain't over by a long shot. There are too many unknown unknowns.

I had my second shot three weeks ago and I am fully vaccinated now and very glad
I went to a retirement party in AZ and about five people wore masks. I was one of them. There were about fifty or more people there. When you opened the door to get inside, there was a big sign saying please wear a mask. I heard people coughing at my table. No masks, No covering their cough. Many attendees were vaccinated, yes, but not all. This is Arizona. Are you kidding? I'll gladly wear a mask and enjoy my added protection of a vaccination, too. Everything is a gamble but it's a bigger one if ya get the Delta variant and get sick. I just don't want to deal with it. I don't even want the common cold. Wearingmasks is a good thing and can help protect you.

Well, if they don't want to be vaccinated, I think it's fine, let them be. They could die if they caught the virus, but that's their choice, we should leave them alone. Just when they are on a dying bed (like I was for 8 days in pain), I want them to remember, that they were offered a choice not to be in that bed, and don't feel sad about it, when that day came.
Between the vaccines and the natural immunity we've achieved, we surely must be at 70% immunity. I kept hearing that 70% immunity is needed to achieve herd immunity. So how come the virus is starting up again?
The number is a minimum of 70% to achieve herd immunity but it varies depending on the virus, 95% was needed to stop measles for example. Also viruses mutate and so you may have immunity to the Alpha variant but not the Delta variant although your anti-bodies from the vaccines can reduce the effectiveness of the Delta variant it may not provide immunity, this is why we needed everyone vaccinated asap as this is truly the only way to stop variants from arising, if we had stopped the Alpha variant early enough there would have not been time for it to mutate to Delta but here we are.
@@iamskeptical9108 yeh previous variants were primarily droplet spread, delta is truly airbourne, therefore the expected herd immunity need is going to be similar to other truly airbourne viruses like measles & chickenpox. Other problem is with viruses like measles, the vaccine actually prevents the person catching & spreading it, whereas that's not happening with covid, making it impossible to reach 95% effective vaccination rates even with 100% of people vaccinated, due to full protection offered by vaccines being well below 95% for delta
