Finally, this is the last video in this quadcopter build series. This was a big long project for me, but it's done now. I hope this will be helpful to you guys. Now that I'm done building this I will continue with some more interesting and sometimes advanced stuff, so stay tuned.
Here is part list of all the parts that I am going to use until the end of this build series:

Tips:
1. Up side of the propeller is one with lettering on it.
2. 8045 - first two numbers are propeller diameter in inches (8" in this case) and second two propeller pitch also measured in inches (4.5").
3. If there is and "R" behind the number (such as 8045R) that means that this is reversed rotation propeller. You need 2x normal and 2x reversed rotation propellers for a quad. Normal are intended for spinning in counter clockwise direction so you have to put them on motors 2. and 4. Reversed propellers must be spinning in clockwise direction so you have to put them on motors 1. and 3.
YOU MUST BALANCE YOU PROPELLERS BEFORE USING THEM!
You need:
Propellers (for a quad you need 2x CW and 2x CCW):

Thanks you very much Trevor. This kind of support means me a lot and keeps me going. I'm going on a vacation tomorrow so I won't be posting any videos for a while. But after that expect some very cool stuff. ;) Thanks again!

Really loving the tutorials. I was in over my head just trying to figure out what to get but this has helped me a lot. Tnx!
Hello, I just tuned in late and saw your last video. I am just in the beginning stage if learning about quads. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wisdom with us. Buy the way, I live on a sailboat in the US and a neighbor if mine sailed his sailboat to Croatia. Thanks again for sharing and I looking forward to more.
This has been an awesome series! I've followed and built the same quad with the recommended equipment, although with different color scheme. Thanks for the inspiration and guidance throughout the build. Great work!
Chris
Great video, as usual. I built the same Quad using the same parts:
Several suggestions I learned from my build...
1. More than one battery strap might needed
2. If you plan to use the Quad with a camera mounted, note the following:
a. Mount the Yellow ball on the back, rather than the front
b. When balancing prop, be sure to balance both blades and hubs
c. While the turned aluminum spinners look cool, - mine added a lot of vibration. I switched to 5mm Nyloc nuts - less vibration.
You are right, those bushings are for that purpose. However, 8045 props happened to have exactly the same hole as the prop adaptor so there was no need to add them here. But yes, in case you have a bigger hole in the hub you must add a bushing.
You put a lot of work in this and helped me along the build of my st360 thanks this is an amazing video series ,I can't wait to see the maiden flight
You will. I'm very very busy lately and I don't even have time to edit footage that I already have. As soon as I catch some free time I'll upload next video.
Great man!
Can't wait to see how it records videos up in the air:)
These are the best videos I have ever seen on building a quad (production value), I like it when people keep it simple nad clear cut, a lot of guys just like to make it so complicated...
Tnx
Tom
Well, it's finally finished. I don't like to flatter anybody, and in fact I can be very, very rude. I have to say though that your build videos have been excellent, and I've followed every episode easily, and my quadrocopter flies like a dream. Also, your video presentation, (however you did it) was superbly enjoyable.
Keep going. What's next....
Trevor (in England)
Thanks!
1. I agree. However, I use silicon covers over my 2200 mAh batteries so even with only one strap is 100% secure and it's impossible for it to go anywhere.
2. a) I will ;) ; b) I did and I always do; c) Aluminium spinners are crap. I already took care of that. You'll see in the next video. ;)
Thanks you very much! Unfortunately, there won't be a maiden flight because I don't like the footage of it. However, I will be doing how to video on KK2.0 tuning in the future which is basically the most important part of the maiden flight.

great job, I love your tutorials, these were a great help to build my first quardcopter, thanks
Please read the video description for additional information, tips and tricks, warnings, links and more. For everything else, please leave a comment down below. I will answer them ASAP!
Thank you for watching!
Thanks you for the support! :)
It will work (at least under low loads), but it not recommended. Only thing that I would recommend is to use two exactly the same batteries.
Well, this motor/prop combo has around 2800 g of thrust. Rule of thumb is that you need at least double the thrust than your quad weights. So, since this is at 1000 g it turns out that I have around 400 g to add stuff. I've tried that and it flies well with 1400 g of weight.
If you are using initial PI gains that I've showed in KK2.0 initial setup video, then you should probably add P and I. Try P=60-70 and I=35-40. Don't mess with stick scaling. 15cm? You should be at lest 2m in the air to get out of the ground effect.
Nice video!
I got the same frame and motors and same props from the start, but I found that it was better with 10X4.5 props and a 6000mAh 2s battery because that gives me 18 minutes of flight time :) and it weights 980gram with the battery and still can take 600gram more and still fly :)
Thanks man! FPV? Of course it is... I mean can... ;) Stay tuned.
SunnySky x2212 are great motors, but I'm not sure they will fit the rotor-bones motor mounts. You should check dimensions and mount holes. I don't have experience with any other motors that are worth mentioning.
Thanks! Yes, I will.
Man this is awsome, yours is the best tutorial I have seen so fare!
I'm gonna make a quad just by watching your tutorials!
Can this quad be updetd with a FPV system??
Tnx
Tom
mine got oscillate when hover down and landing ... what should I fix
To see what i mean. Search this on youtube: itachi uchiha quadcopter.
The one from 28 seconds is the one. I have the exact same problem he has but then it goes to all sides.
Great video! And nice quad. Are you going to make a flying video?
I love to be an inspiration! Thank you! ;)
Why didn't you snap the correct size bushing that comes with the props on the bottom side of the props? Or am I misdirected in believing that they provide these bushings for some other purpose?
Btw I have this props, 8045 SF Props 2pc Standard Rotation/2 pc RH Rotation from hobbyking
It could me number of things. Acc. calibration, throttle calibration, bad motor/esc, trimming etc. I'm not really sure what is wrong.
Somewhere else - Croatia. :) That's why my English is not that great sometimes. :S
Yes but, when i watch other video's of taking of quads. They can add throttle and just raise. If i add throttle the thing gets oncontrolled and crashes.
Hm, I really don't know. Maybe sanding? :S Don't have better idea.
Can you make video of quadcopter fly preformance?
Cool:)
Can it carry a camera thats a bit heavier than the gopro?
Tom
I bought a set of 8045 props and the holes were too small for my prop adaptors. Any suggestions on what tool to use to enlarge? I tried a drill in my drill press but it went off center.
In an paralell connection, can you mix an 2c with an 3c?
I really need your help here, im building that quad from flite test, the anycopter frame, and i need motors, but the ones flite test recommends are on backorder for 5 weeks now so i need other ones. please advice me on which i should use . (2200 3s battery, 15 amp esc and Kk2board
Have a great holiday. Where do you live then? (approximately). Are you in America or Great Britain? Or somewhere else?
Best regards,
Trevor.
hi, is it normal that my quad, when i give throttle that the quads goed to th right. other words if i depature it chrashes inmeadly. it goed to the right. Please help
I added it all up and it cost about $340 for everything. (Prices might change a little)
i have discovered the problem i think. i did an factory reset and my Y gyro is "not ok". what do i have to do to fix that?
Hi again, i flew today and when im about 15 cm in the air it starts losing control. I have tried stick scaling, PI editor. But it didnt helped. Can it be the software? can u say what is probably is? that would realy help.
Well, this guy had and faulty KK2.0. Maybe that is your problem as well. I'm really not sure.
I make a video showing how it flips.
What is your flight time with this setup?
10-11 min on 2200 mah 3S.
how much did it cost anything?
It cost around $340 for everything.
