Clever introduction
A Friday with a new Fewladelphia episode is the best kind of Friday
Fewladelphia Friday... if you will 😄❤
Great episode FewC! A couple suggestions. 1.) The span of the bridge over the tracks needs one more pillar. Probably between the tracks and the main road in front of the station. The span is to great. 2.) That mountainside is a million dollar view so maybe some million dollar mansions. If not, a million dollar hotel
We'll add another pillar! 😄
Thrilled with how this new village started out - especially the courtyard and village center! Absolutely gorgeous!
Ahh thanks David! Was a lot of fun to do the little courtyard!
I would love to see a vineyard rolling between the hills overlooking the lake, and maybe some sort of horse riding as was mentioned in another comment as well, to offer a nice and relaxing activity.
A vineyard is a great shout, thank you!
Cheers for sharing the timber tip. Here’s another one to make perfect roundabouts. Use complex curve. Tap where you want the other side of the round about to be. Then tap back on your starting point ❤️
Awesome tip!! Thank you!
@ ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much! Extremely honoured. Especially with such a cute village/town! And even without my bias, loved this build!
Love the breaking news segment. Very clever. ❤❤❤
Mee to :)
Ahh thanks Sarah! Was fun to put together!
Love the news intro, brings a bit of lore and realism and love it!
Love the intro ❤
As always, I love watching your videos. Such creativity and realism. One of the best cs2 builders imo!! New intro was fun too!!
Ah thank you so much!
i LOVE that new intro 😆❤
Your cities always have so much personality and the news reports make it even more engaging. Really brings it to life. Love it!
The Havenwood Lumber factory could also be heat treating wood (A real thing to destroy insects in it) for shipping crates that travel to other countries. Also... as others havew commented... Make the News intro a regular thing as it is a great idea and concept.
The campsite would be a great idea!
I think this build was rather lovely. I am unsure if you should not consider to taper it off into lower densities at the edge, unless you plan for Atkinson to merge together with the city Sprawl from the rest of the city, or if you want it to remain a more independent blob of living space.
As for the hotel/camp ground thing I think it'd be interesting with a hotel, or at least something that pops up in the landscape. Perhaps it could be a converted noble estate? Say if Atkinson used to be a small village attached to a local lordship, but now that said dynasty is defunct the old estate has been made into lodging and Atkinson has diversified its economy now that the noble house is no longer there to be the basis of employment. Perhaps someone opened a brewery in the town and someone else has a horse ranch and provides tours of the landscape and the lake, or whatever else you could make up to tell a story of Atkinson becoming a larger town after its society stopped being based on feudal service.
Love the lore! Thank you! A brewery would be a nice throw back to Auridon too!
Hello! 🌟 You did a fantastic job in the new village. 🏡 The video is wonderful as well! 🎥
Thank you!
You forgot to tell if the park maintenance building made a progress by the Castle.
Aside from that little mishap, I am impressed with your patience and skill in detailing
Yep, also forgot to add the train! 😅 Will be rectifying early next ep!
Those netlane decals! 😽
So good aren't they!
Great episode. I really like how you made the dirt roads and lake path. Surfaces are so powerful, and you used them so well!
I vote campsite.
Thanks abc!
Thank you for choosing some of my name choices. I feel part of this city after you chose my original name Fewladelphia!
Aww you're welcome! You make great suggestions 😄
I'm no civil engineer, just a mechanical engineer, but I can say without a doubt that bridge (@16:00) needs at least 2 more pillars under it if you want a realistic look 😊. Anyway, keep up the good work, I love this series!
We can definitely add another pillar! 😅
I’ve only watched the first 40 seconds so far and this is a classic! I love the news headlines intro, absolutely brilliant! Still chuckling to ourselves as I type.
Saw you were live last night but sadly couldn’t join you, will watch it today tho.
Thanks Arutha, glad you enjoyed the intro! Hope you are doing well!
Great episode as always Few! Really liked the news segment, wouldn't mind it because a permanent feature! I think a water sports area would work great, maybe you could add a small amount of wild-ish beach alongside the lake, I'm sure people would pile onto trains from the main city to get away to the lakeside on summer days!
For the spot at the end of the lake atop the hill, have you considered adding one of the new modernist Eastern European Pack hotels? One is quite tall, but I think if hidden nicely behind trees it could work really well if you say it's some sort of sanatorium close by the lake, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, with studding views and surrounded by a lovely forest (maybe a swimming pool/lounging areas too). Lot's of ex-communist nations built similar types of spa resorts for workers and ill people to get better surrounded by nature. Cant' wait to see what you pick!
Love that idea! Thanks Sambor!
I haven't bought City Skylines 2 because everyone seemed to dislike it, but you seem to be doing well with it.
I'm really enjoying it now! Yes it still has some flaws, but the detailing in it is fantastic now with mods, I find it very difficult to go back to CS1!
Lovely stuff Few!! Very Arts and Crafts in places there...
Always enjoy watching you play! You're the "Bob Ross" of CS2.
What does Fewladelphia look like at night? A city tour perhaps?
Love the intro! Also, maybe an idea and add a beautiful golf course in this new part? Would be amazing by the lake!
Love the intro!! 😊
LOVED the opening!! 👍🏼
Love the news start, FC, good work today (Saturday).
There's a lake near Philly named: Wenonah Lake, so maybe Fewnona Lake and the little town would be Fewnona.
Heads up for the intro and the build!
You can place a church in the town centre.
Best opening to a cs2 episode. Do you even have a road Maintenance building down?
Thank you!! And yep, got one down next to the 'ferry' harbour!
i liked the soviet style town build, i think it should be justified by a big industry near the town, something like nails and or potatoes. Also the town could be called St. Fewtersburg
First? I just opened RUclips and this popped up. Haha. Fun intro!
Right on time Pop! 😄
Nice. I think, the best use for the new village would be to let it be small, not touristy and a bit isolated, no fancy hotels and the likes of it - just a little village off the main highway which mostly still exists, because the people who live there commute to the city by their old trainline. If you then added another even smaller village off the highway and finally a little bigger place, where the highway gets close to the ocean again, it would create a great transition. Cities Skylines builts tend to cover only one spot on a big map and lack such context and this looks like a great opportunity to me, to really make a difference.
The village itself could then be mostly surrounded by forrest and perhaps some very limited fields and forrestry pathways - not the industrial kind, but the kind which some villagers would care for as a family without too much commercial utilization.
Lovely ideas, thank you!
On the other side of the lake could be also park with other ruins, in Central Europe it would be quite obvious place for it... There could be story about 2 castles rivalry ended by obvious victor... But it could stay reason why new town stayed kinda different than the rest of build
Nice and quaint.
I'm surprised you made the railway a terminus rather than just a village stop but I'm guessing you have no plans connecting the rail to that side of the map.
Love the episode. Don't know if I missed it, but I think you forgot to but in the train line?
I totally did!!! And forgot to show the impact the tax changes had 🤦♀️ we'll do it at the start of the next ep!
I think I saw the cars in the roundabout stopping for incoming trafic.
I don't think that is how roundabouts should work :)
Maybe som yield signs are in order?
Great episode
Yield signs definitely needed, great point! Thanks!
I might be wrong but I think think the network quality that businesses have been complaining about is communications/internet rather than like road networks so you might need a couple more radio masts!
Ahhh great point! We definitely need more, will look into that, thank you!
@@fewcandy No worries! Been loving the series, I found your channel through your detailer's collective video and just binged the whole series while working from home! :)
I think you should do all your intros like this because it was so go.
Haha thank you! I think we'll keep it as a regular feature for Fewladelphia 😄
Atkinson Mills is a real place in Pennsylvania, apparently! Perhaps there is a Patron named Mills out there to make it work for Fewladelphia?
Ooo I'll need to check that out!
Seni dan pikiran dalam membangun sangat masuk akal. Saya kira ini yang terbaik
Can I book a table at the pub by the lake!?
Reserved! 😄
Few! It's fewer car factories, not less car factories!
I didn''t know you already named the area...but I still like the name for something.
I like the name Sofia for something too! Thanks Franklin!
I got a good name for your little village...to fit the Eastern European vibe..."Sofia"
Aye!! Not another bus accident!!
Thick and fast they are!
First I'm in America HELP!!! Second, awesome job!
a house that close to the track 😂 must’ve got a real good price
Dirt cheap that one 😅
For real though is Instant Gaming a legit place to buy games?
Yep! I buy from them all the time and never had an issue, know a lot of others that do too.
