Oh trust me. The entire digital grid could go down and some mystical backlog of everyone's student loan debt would still survive.

I feel like this can operate on a miniature scale within one person's life.
When life is hard, you gradually get stronger.
When you get stronger, you gradually make your life less hard.
When you make life less hard, you gradually become weaker.
When you become weaker, your life gradually becomes harder.

Fuck tax when it’s spent on fucking shit like feeding evil child/women murderers and allowing them to watch tv in prisons. Maybe the reason why the ancients peoples where so fascinated by stars and celestial objects was that there was an impact in their recent past (or mythology) and they're looking out for the next one. They may have thought the impact was punishment from the gods so they built massive temples and monuments to honour them in an attempt to prevent another impact.

I think part of the problem with asteroids is they have become something that our society doesn't take seriously. When he mentions the Tunguska event, I looked it up, and so much content is dedicated to what could have "really" happened. It seems with most of us, when we hear that something was caused by an asteroid, our immediate reaction is to think it's some sort of cover-up.

As a huge history nerd, I think about a new "Dark Age" all the time. I preserve my life in material objects and notes so that hundreds of years from now, if humans are still alive, people can study the life of a common woman without needing online access. I've kept my favourite dresses, letters, birthday cards, souvenirs, relationship stuff, etc. because I think about what historians are going to be able to study years from now all the time. Again, this is because I'm a huge history nerd and think about history and the future of historical study all the time.
