I wish if they both voted swap, it actually did swap twice. So when the platform started to rotate, the person who had 0 or 1 would get excited, only to see it just keep on spinning a full 360 degrees.
Cheers to the Carrot in a Box all-time Champion Sean Locke, long live his name. Strongly suggest you look him up if you plan to play this again, some of the finest moments of casual TV
Who knew the world needed a Scrap Mechanic version of carrot in a box! And I feel like Kosmo makes a great Sean Lock! Sorry, Kan, that leaves you with Jon Richardson! I guess that makes Scrapman Jimmy Carr? 🤣🤣🤣
@@wingsoficarus1139 If I remember right, the game they're playing in the video is a (more complete) version of a game called "Carrot in a Box" made up on and repeatedly used in a British comedy show called "8 out of 10 cats does Countdown" Basically you have two players, two boxes - one with a carrot and one without, and (without touching or looking in the box) the aim is to end up with the box that has the carrot. The version Scrap and co. came up with is much better balanced - lets you view your own box, but with varying score quanities in them
Video idea: Uncontrollable rescue (Trailmakers) Build a creation to rescue players who are stuck somewhere on a map in vehicles that they have limited/no control over. For example, a car that never stops going forward or a boat that goes in circles in the waves. You could have no HUD and use signal flares as an added level of realism to find them. You could also just do hide and seek and use fireworks/flares as the clues as well...
Pro tip to stop the logic from flashing/glitching: 1. Connect the button to a NOR logic gate. 2. Connect the NOR logic gate, to an AND logic gate. 3. Connect the SAME button to the AND logic gate. The AND logic gate will be active for exactly 1 tick, and then turn off any time the button is pressed. This means you can hook it up to the memory logic, make sure to hook it up to ALL 3 of the memory logic gates if you are using the XOR method, because it will swap all of them in 1 tick, and will prevent flashing/glitching because it will not be held down.
ScrapMan, this is brilliant! I don't know if this was inspired by some other existing game but this was a masterpiece. You guys should make a series just from this one game, and evolve it into different game modes. For example, you could build vehicles using parts that you unlock only from these chests. So if one gets 4 wheels and then he gets to open another one, they can swap it. And one might get only a controller while the other gets two gas engines. It should be pretty fun.
I always wonder just how much time is spent putting these together for a 20 minute content video. Should do a behind the scenes of you building them and release it after the event takes place.
Is it just me or do yall sometimes feel nostalgic when watching a new vid from Scrapman? Ngl out of all the youtubers, scrapman is my favourite my no.1. I am relatively a new viewer of scrapman (since 2019) but I still remember vividly that good ol garage music when hes building in an mm video. Its just so nostalgic just neing here and seeing scrapman be himself even if he'd changed a little in how he makes content, its still him in the end which I truly appreciate.
I have a slight urge to figure what is the best spread of rewards to play this game. What if we make the chests more random [0,9] rewards with a weighted distribution over 3, (3±3 essentially). Lastly to spice this game up, if the chests do swap, there is a chance the chest becomes booby trapped (aka -1 or fully negating the rewards). Each player gets this additional roll (once chests have swapped). Though maybe game theory avoids this second state.
Hey Scrapman, would you consider doing a Raft playthrough? I think it fits the channel and would be a lot of fun. You could do it with multiplayer or mods if you want to spice things up.
great game mode, one suggestion though, since the swap and keep buttons are so far appart if your observant you can tell when the light turns on what side your opponent is on, giving you and advantage. For next time it would be better if the buttons were next to each other, in the middle, on the floor
What a twist on the "Prisoner's Dilemma". The dilemma is that kAN doesn't understand how to submit his answer. It's not exactly the same thing, but it's very similar in that the results change on if they agree or disagree; cooperate or betray.
Now should be interesting if someone can do like an "among us" on scrap mechanic. For tasks, killing and vocal chat should be very easy. I don't know how the emergency botton mechanism could work.
Do you love Jesus? If you want to go to Heaven with him you must repent from your sins and Read and Obey the Bible everyday!you must preach his word to others! Jesus died on the cross so that you can have eternal life! He is the way, the truth, the life, and he will always be! He loves you,God bless!
To make a long pulse buffer you should connect a button to a 'or gate' then chain more 'or gates' in series and then connect all the 'or gates' to the output so each 'or gate' replicate the original signal n-times the amount of 'or gates'
This was really cool! I made a co-op challenge a while back, should still work. It's called "Multiplayer Monday Challenge" under my name on the workshop.
Day 8 of posting this on his new vids Trailmakers suggestion for a MPM or something: all 4 people cooperate to design, plan, and construct a bomber with no build limit and 3 positions(gunning with mgs/bombing/flying respectively) And everyone also designs a ground vehicle (250 blocks, 2 weapons systems, everything else is free for use) 3 people use the bomber to attack the ground vehicle, and whoever lasts the longest on the ground wins. PITCH THIS TO SCRAPPY
To improve the game and have more of a meta: if both players try to swap neither players gets a chest. That way if both say keep its safe. This makes the safe choice keep, but if the others says swap you might lose what you have. Then picking swap is risk to chose if both pick it
The “swap” “keep” buttons are functionally identical so I’m not really sure what the strategy is It might be more interesting if both people pressing “swap” means they got nothing
I've paused right at the start of the video to say this without any influence: just from the video title and the game name, I can't help but imagine that this will be a case of "one person knows where the treasure is, has to convince the other one it's in a different spot". Let's see if I'm right.
I wish if they both voted swap, it actually did swap twice. So when the platform started to rotate, the person who had 0 or 1 would get excited, only to see it just keep on spinning a full 360 degrees.
Or rotate partway then rotate back.
More psychological warfare games watching Kan slowly unravel as he talks himself in circles is my new favorite content.
"You can use a toilet to get up to the second level." Toilets are to Scrap Mechanic as towels were to the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Im gaussing your new to the game

I believe someone was insulted in all of that, not just sure who.
What does this even mean 😂

Kosmo's responses are genius! And Kan psycho analyzing everything 😂
KaN during the beginning of every mm: oo this is interesting dude, I like it!
KaN towards the end of every mm: This game sucks man, I hate it.
😂😂😂
this was super fun, missed these kinds of multiplayer. kan was definitely over thinking it but it made it pretty exciting
pretty creative one scrapman
I feel like it was inspired by Mrbeast latest video, the choose who gets 250k dollars
@@FastOrixi think it’s just deal or no deal, inspired by the show.

This reminds me of “carrot in a box” that was on a show in the uk.

Love the gameshow format ScrapMan!

FYI, Kosmo livestreams his building phase on his channel and the last time I watched it took him about 5 - 8 hours to make!
I love "Carrot in a Box" such a fun game
Anyone see a BBC show called Golden Balls back in the day? Made me think of that straight away!
Very creative - great video!
So far we have kAN choosing violence and ScrapMan choosing psyops... What will Kosmo choose, I wonder?
Prisoner's dilemma, the Gameshow!
Keep it up scrap!

What a funny game concept :)
The borderline survivor-esque gameshow music really makes this whole video hahahaha

Thanks for another awesome video Scrap, and good morning ^-^
Its amazing that you still get ideas like that after so many years. Even tho some might be out of comments its impressive. Keep up :)
the game was only close because kosmo got 3 of the explosives. kan had 2 whole more boxes than him and still lost by 1 point.
Nice game idea!
If Khan had t swapped his 3 for the 2 it would’ve ended in a tie
This is absolutely amazing

a way to throw your opponent off is to not look in your chest and chose swap or keep based on a die, even is swap, uneven is keep.
