same. My dream was always a) it would be a springer and b) the barrels would be more than cosmetic, I didn't even dream to actually reach mini-gun rates of fire, 1000 or 2000 rpm I figured would be the limit, but this is going to far surpass that, hell, this is going to surpass a lot of actual Gatling cannons.
Yes, the shells are required so the belt can be pulled with high speed without breaking the darts, and the link/shell combination allows an easy dissassembly which makes sense since the belt is 10m long.
The smile and small laugh at the end was everything this man ever wanted. You see ladies, THIS, THIS is what a happy man looks like and all it took was firing foam darts around the room at unbelievable rates.
Sir, you have created an absolutely wonderful thing here. I hope you know all the hours spent were worth it, for the amount of joy and awe you have already brought, and will continue to bring to the Nerf community, as people find out about this.
I love how the other ones whirr up or you have to lock and load the bullets, while this one is silent death, you just flick a switch, left to wonder what’s happening, just before a hail of darts blocks your whole vision
An auto-reloader would be useful to save manpower on reloads. 500 rounds takes a while! In any case, this is without exaggeration one of the best things to come out of the nerf fandom.
My idea for a nerf battle to save time is to have multiple belts (still takes awhile) and have each new belt in a separate backpack that your friends carry around and follow you with.
This is legendary. I'm sure you've tested this a thousand times while building and still have so much fun firing it. I'd love to get some videos about the mechanical components and electronics of it. I saw Walcom's review and he just loved it.
I am heavy weapons guy and this is my weapon. She weighs 150 kg firing $200 custom tooled cartridges at 10,000 rounds per minute. It cost $400,000 to fire this weapon for 12 seconds.

Three things I hope the next version of this can be added to the design. 1. A Clutch so if the barrels jam it won't break the whole thing 2. A way to stop the ammo from feeding into the barrels allowing you to spin them up first or let them wind down. 3. To avoid the mess of shells and delinked chain everywhere, use a second feed that pulls out the spent ammo belt and sends it back into the backpack (which is what the real minigun does in some vehicles and aircraft).

@@BC-wj8fx Quite simple really, unless there's another Nerf mini gun that is truly better than this, I stand by what I said.
