He's not in trouble. Now, after the brain damage, everything looks fine to him: you have seen him saying he had no damage, saying in the fight he was doing good, even wanting a rematch with Alex.
Like in a lobotomy everything was gone and now everything is fine.

When we analyze both fighters, factor for their attributes and skillset + look at the level of competition that theyve beaten, on paper Jamal Hill should be the favorite. Hes the bigger fighter and hes fought way better competition than Roundtree. In a vacuum Jamal should win that fight 70 times out of 100. For all intents and purposes, this should be a lay-up for Jamal. The UFC clearly offered him this fight because he took Pereira on short notice and saved the card. He scratched Danas back so now Dana is scratching Jamals.
However, hes fighting on short notice yet again, hes making a very quick turnaround (not even 3 months later) against yet another KO puncher in Kalil, and given the holes that have been exposed in his striking game (curtousy of Mr. Stone Hands), lets just say Kalil has more than a punchers chance in there.
Again: Jamal can definitely win this fight, but we cant rule out Roundtrees odds. If he goes in there and gets brutally chinned a second time, that will mark the beginning of the end of Jamals career.

Agreed. Fighting so soon after a massive KO is a great way to prematurely end a career.
However, I'm sure he will be fine because he clearly took no damage. Hill was just taking an eyes-open nap on the canvas.... No damage at all 😂😂

Yes, a very silly Idea fueled by his concussed brain. Kahlil will knock him out most likely.

He could. You definitely can't rule out Rountree. But don't let the recency bias effect who you pick too heavily. Jamal has fought and gotten wins over way better competition. And Kalil is still untested against the very best that 205 has to offer.

@@fellowtraveler2251 Not recency bias, I am more concerned about Jamahal's brain. He got hit with like 15 or more hard strikes. He was in and out many times and was asked Herb Dean what happened. You can imagine how that moved his brain around. If you know a thing or two about concussions, it's important to take time off for a good while to rest the brain and let things heal up on a deeper level.

@@andrewSUN17 Yep. As a general rule of thumb: chins don't get better. One of the more sinister side effects of concussions is that for a time, the recently concussed individual will be more vulnerable to future concussions. That's why a good policy for the state athletic commissions to abide by is to suspend a fighters license for 90 days if they suffered a concussion during a contest.
The super quick turnaround will be a cause for concern, because recently KO'd fighters tend to be gun-shy. We saw this with Pereira vs Blachovich, as well as Volk vs Ilia. In both instances, the competitors were significantly more hesitant to engage in striking exchanges than normal. Remember: elite martial artists need to have self confidence verging on delusion in order to do what they do. So a blow to their confidence will visibly effect their performance in the cage.
For all intents and purposes, Kalil should be a lay-up for Jamal. But I agree: we don't know how his recent loss will effect him in the cage. Plus fighters are constantly evolving and improving. We could see a new mythical fighter emerge on fight night.
