Yeah, I'm with you. The movie isn't as good as it was when I was young. But the soundtrack is amazing - in no small part to Jonathan Davis. Considering the book and movie were about Lestat's music career, it was the least the producers could do.

Because they not only have this this distinct gothic vibe but also some of the best songs ever created (Pantera - avoid the light on D2K, NIN - Dead Souls on The Crow). I remember when my mom got me the soundtrack for my 16th birthday along with the Hannibal Lecter book series by Thomas Harris. I watched both movies like a hundred times as a kid and loved them. My dad got me obsessed by Anne Rice when he gave me both of her books "The Mummy or Ramses the Damned" and "Interview With A Vampire".
My husband and me listen to the soundtrack a lot, but then it got lost after we had to get a new car and I had to buy another copy I was sad.

This is one of my fav vampire movie out of the bad ones (B ones) if that makes any sense lol I still somehow enjoy it even though it's a bit cheesy or lacking. Soundtrack is still amazing to me and so perfect for a vampire movie! They need to do more soundtracks like this for that deep dark whimsical type horror.
