Very happy for u nostalgia is all we got
I miss the old days

These days are gettin so hard
I’m kind of do not, I thought all the time that game’s graphics were a masterpiece but got disappointed when i saw it again after years if missing
@@Sarah_Kinz The game was released in North America on September 11, 2001 (this September was hard days for the whole world). Terrible coincidence, huh? Namco, during the development of the game, could have come up with a plot for the North American version that tells about Clonoa carried out the 9/11 attacks and then everything according to the original plot. Or this terrorist plot would be a nightmare for Namco and that critics might criticize the beginning of the plot?
Miss my childhood
I played the hell out of this game as a kid. I completed it 100% if I remember correctly. My mom actually bought me the game like 3 times, because I lost it the first time, and the second one another kid stole the game from me. Haha.
Why didn't your mother ask the parents to give you back the game he stole?
@@gabrieltaurino4657 So, as far as I remember, this kid lived with another kid on the same building across from mine, and they were under custody of someone, but neither me or my mom knew who that person was. This first kid came to my house a few times, and then his friend came two or three times. Soon after, they left the building and I never saw them again. Honestly, I can't really know for sure that they stole the game, but it's only logical... I was 6 years old, they were older.
This is so good for 2001 Game Boy Advance. It more feels like an early DS game
Yeah...
Literally my first GBA game
My first GBA game - WarioLand 4, followed by Atlantis: The Lost Empire
@@Izzatrising Nice!
Back then when i was so happy after finish the puzzles. Guess time moves on. Who knows which games ill cherish after another two decades
I noticed a few things:
1. Klonoa said "Damn, not again..." in the cutscenes for lv.5...
2. A copyright-related message is displayed on the map screen...
Ca you provide a time skip so we dont have to go searching for it
Kydaper Here you go...
1. 1:27:00
2. 1:26:34
In lunatais veil leorna says "damn you"
She's allowed to say it, she's an adult and a villain
About the copyright message, you're right, I noticed that too.
It's difficult to read, because of the resolution, but it seems to be excerpts of text about Terragen (old software to generate CGI lanscapes)
What I can read is:
"This version of Terragen is Copy
and may only be redistributed acc"
"This Terragen software is prot-
No responsibility can be taken
or any other person creating [hidden]"
"Images will only be saved in 24bit if"
My theory is that the person who made the map graphics was looking for some Lorem Ipsum to give an "old map" feel, they were likely a Terragen user so they used parts of - what I guess is - Terragen documentation. It's funny to see something like this.
I love how in the 3 GBA Klonoa games, Klonoa's design has always been the Lunatea's Veil design, but for no reason, this game was released into the US on *SEPTEMBER 11TH.*
As weird as that is (and kind of sad), I think that's false information.
Edit: Nope, apparently it was.
…
best game of my childhood for me :)
Memories😍😍😍 this was my favorite game whem i was in pre k
The music reminds me of the music of pokemon mystery dungeon red rescue team.
@tadkratzer6261 How'd you know about that?
1:04:17 this aged well
i think abt this game so much!!! i really miss it, it was my all time fave as a kid :’)
I remember playing this game when I was a child!! I would replay it even though some levels were a bit challenging. TY for everything you do on this channel!
I got this game when I was a kid, only because I’d seen an ad for Klonoa 2, which was I thought this was. But it didn’t matter, I still loved it. Still have my copy, even. What a classic.
I’m playing this now! It’s pretty fun ;) The main character is a peppy little hero.
Is he saying “Rock it!” when he double-jumps? So funny.
He’s saying Wa-hoo!
This game seems very good and this video is very good, watching this video soluctions have seen some partes of the game that me be difficults. Thank you so much.
best gba platform ever
One of the great GBA puzzle platformers...😉
I got stuck on that part. 9:42 For hours hahaha this gameplay saved me ❤😂
always thought the final boss fight with bagoo was kinda creepy
I literally just 100% completed the game yesterday, just not in one go and I kinda cheated by using save states.
Exact same, was on a bus ride with loads of time. Decided to finish this on an emulator.
Just 100% the game except for the EX levels! Now onto Dream Champ Tournament.
Might play the sequel sometime, after finishing Empire of Dreams...
Quick question 1:50:10.
So, did Klonoa ever find out that Jillius isn't really dead? Or did he leave the empire in mourning, believing he failed to save it? Because if it's the latter, then yeesh... and I thought the ending of Door to Phantomile was already depressing enough.
My reading of that ending was the whole game was a dream the King was having, it'd makes sense calling Klonoa a "Dream Traveler" and the fact he just shows up in the kingdom at the start with no explanation.
Klonoa should have been picked to be on the roster for Smash Bros Ultimate but he was completely ignored even thoug PAC Man was on it sad
There’s a chance he’ll have his spot in next the Smash Bros game and with the amount copies of Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series being sold. I guarantee he’ll be a fighter in the future. That way, he’ll be more recognizable
one of my favorites.
1:27:00 - Never before in my entire life would I expect to hear Klonoa say "damn". Well, at least he didn't say "shit" or "fuck".
....uhh
@@VailingD But still…
To me, it feels like Klonoa was always meant to be a more mature series than a lot of other game series often targeted to children or everyone of all ages.
This is especially considering the two mainline games on the PS1 and PS2 respectively.
That's true. I still remember being so sad after being done with Lunatea's Veil.@@PKSuperStar256
What became of Huepow after this game? Did he have to return to his kingdom?
My favorite game♡
Very good longplay.
who else had this game as a ... smaller than now child
56:18 what was all that?
*Klonoa Spazzes out* 😅
Beast mode at its finest. :)
I miss this game so much
Level 4-5 is a showstopper ...no way to pass it.
Wow did Klonoa say damn. Isn’t he like 8 or 10 or something? Also are the GBA games even canon? Isn’t the blue bubble with hands didn’t he die in the first game?
he's 13
@@Number1Tailsfan انت تمزح
It's hard to say. I've heard some say that it's stated that he was 9 in the first game and probably 12 or 13 in the second.
The GBA games are debatably canon considering some details that conflicts with logic established in the main games. To me, they're more like self-contained stories that you can play without knowing the main games to understand them.
Edit: And no, he didn't die in Door to Phantomile. If he did, there wouldn't be Lunatea's Veil.
I've known this game from nintendo gameboy my dad bought for me. Very nostalgic and i wish i could restore my game boy. I don't know what caused it to be break 💔
Does this take place after Klonoa 2?
Possibly...🤔
Most likely. Look at the picture in the corner of Klonoa's room in the beginning cutscene. It's a very compressed version of an image of Klonoa with Lolo and Popka.
Edit: However, this game seems to take place in its own universe where the events of the mainline games are implied to have happened.
Klonoa 3 be like
This time, we do 100% completion.
World 1 Intro, 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 1-5, 1-6, 1-7, 1-8
You unlocked 1-2
Klonoa can't swim = The game makers were too lazy to animate a swimming animation for a few levels.
No actually, it’s confirmed in Lunatea’s Veil that he cannot swim.
An character that cannot swim?
It reminds me Red Ball 4...🤔
This is actually Klonoa 3.
Memories.
This game was ok I got this game and my sister got crash. I honestly wish I got crash my sister would never let me play it so I would sneak it from her. I remember I took it from her and hid in the big tube play ground at Mc donalds
I WON'T PASS THE VISION 5-6 BECAUSE IS VERY DIFFICULT!!!!😭😭😭 ALWAYS DIE!!!!!
Good
Is this a TAS?
Motion sickness the game
its a direct sequel of the psx version?
It's hard to tell. I think Klonoa 2 for PS2 is the direct sequel.
Klonoa on PS2 is the direct sequel. This game likely takes place before the main events of Klonoa 1. Spoilers for why:
Huepow is here with Klonoa, instead of Klonoa being by himself. If there's an order I'd say Huepow brings Klonoa to his world and gives him the fake memories, Klonoa and Huepow occasionally go on dream adventures (which doesn't make much sense because Klonoa doesn't know who he can do this until the end if the first game), then the main story of the first game happens. So I guess in a way this could also be another timeline or a what if
@@maniacaal, interestingly enough, it does seem to be in a self-contained timeline separate from the main two games. I don't think it takes place before Klonoa 1, however.
In Door to Phantomile and Moonlight Museum, he appears to be much younger than his appearances in all the other games. Another thing to note is the picture in the corner of Klonoa's room in the beginning cutscene. It looks like a compressed version of a Klonoa 2 unlockable image of him with Lolo and Popka.
What's more confusing is that Huepow is with him in this game despite what happens in Door to Phantomile. It kind of reinforces that possibility that this is self-contained for the purpose of not alienating newer fans who never played the other games since the main games are known for having fleshed out storylines.
I personally don't like this game, but there are so many good games on the GBA.
GBA
*****
Haha, just finished that boring opera world minutes ago.
LuffyMcDuck real life is a boring opera world. GBA is better 😂
@thedukeofjuke fuck the opera world
wahoo!!!
Wahoo!!!
nice
waheugh
I got this instead of crash the huge adventure. My sister got crash amd promised to let me play it. But she just used it as bait to make me do her chores...that Bitch xD. She good now though
I take it this was your VERY first time playing this game World of Longplays? I can tell, lol
Ruined by that fucking annoying sound that he makes whenever he jumps.. I watched this for about 30 seconds and couldn't take it anymore.. how do the developers not think about this?
The GBA sound is very low. So it's not as noticeable on actual hardware
WAHOO!
Am I too tolerant for thinking that Klonoa's iconic "Wahoo!" isn't annoying but rather adorable?
help! im playing this game, and dont know how to save files in this game?
This game auto saves.
@@redmage8719 Yes, it saves after each level is cleared.
@@IvanFranco120, the game autosaves every time you move to a different section of a level, you're on a boss fight, clear any level, beat a world, or 100% complete the game.
IF only nintendo wasnt so cheap over the years, and made these games more 3d, or even kinda close, like the PS1 version. Would have required many GBA games to be on at least 2 cartridges, but it would have been so much cooler. Still the game is fun to watch. GJ!
Namco made this, not Nintendo.
انا اتكلم عربي
graphics are a little lacklluster, too bad for klonoa, it was a cute franchise whatever happened to it
Poor marketing mainly. Namco barely made any commercials for the games and didn't even localize some of them. The door to phantomile remake in particular failed due to poor marketing, dropping the interesting subtitle instead calling it just "Klonoa" and making the box art uninteresting and making it look like shovelwarw which the wii had TONS of already. Shame too, the first two games are honestly magnificent works of art and would've done so much better had the public known they existed.
Whoo the game’s graphics look worse than I remembered
Edit: the story us trash, the dialogues are trash, the background and environment design are also trash… the idea is good but realisation is - garbage
The bosses also suck
Santal is the best
I don't know about you, but I don't mind if the graphics are on the lower side. I kind of like the plasticky look of the game and it kind of adds to the dream-like quality of the game.
I'm going to be honest, yes, the story isn't the best. It's alright for being simple and straightforward for people who didn't play the mainline Klonoa games.
Yeah, the bosses aren't the greatest. Personally, the final one is the best one not only for reminding me of one in the mainline games but looking kind of cool. However, I'd say this is one of this game's pluses over the second GBA game, which has races instead of bosses except the final boss (which is a better final boss fight than this game).
