Slade such a menace, He terrorized the titans the entire series, came back to Freddy Krueger Robin, then finished out the series telling Beast Boy simpin ain’t pimpin. That’s Black Air Force Energy in it’s final form 🔥
And fouth an intergalactic demon just becaused he lied to him and dominated
Iii

This man ended a show by delivering a black air force reality check.
I love that (though I believe that they only did it to avoid censors) he is just called “Slade” instead of “Deathstroke”. Rather than some over the top villain from the cartoon, he realistically felt like another adult. As a kid, you will naturally have some adults you feel is oppressing you in some way like a teacher or parent. “Slade” taps into that fear in all the best ways to make him a compelling villain.
Yeah death stroke slade Wilson
I never felt oppressed by adults. I simply kept lists.
And learned their weaknesses, and how to initiate disease.
(Alondro... IS... SLADE!!!) :O
@@Alondro77 lol
He felt like a villain who could pose a legitimate threat to other adult superheroes...
And they pit him against children.
@@Aflay1 which made him even more menacing!
Man. Ron Perlman is just a master at voicing absolutely badass villains. Slade and the lich are some of my favorite villains ever
Remember when he looked at them and just went ……. FALL.
he did the intros for all the fallout games too
The reason why deathstroke waged war on the teen titans in the comics was that his son joined their team and was later killed in battle. He blamed the team for his son's own decision and vowed to make them pay. The show changed his origin to being a random psychopath that just wanted to torment the team, which is scarier since he has no real motive and therefore can't be understood or related to.
IIRC, Deathstroke got involved with the Titans because his older son, the first Ravager, failed to kill the Titans.
But yeah, Jericho being killed in the line of duty REALLY made the beef personal. Moreso because he's the one that had to kill Jericho, after the boy had been possessed.
Slade truly was the terminator in that series, not even Satan himself can hold him back from beyond the grave.😹
Well he did survive veitnam
@@justinroux1610 His experience with Trigon was like a Black Friday shopping mayhem. 🤣

Joker vs Slade
My money on Slade
He was messing with Terra who is a teen to
Ron Perlman brought this character to life so well he’s the only one I ever picture playing as Slade because he is sooooo fucking good.
He did a phenomenal job. The guy who played Slade in Arrow was also fantastic
Nux, "I wish I could be like Slade!"
Everyone, "You mean you're not already working for Satan?"
He already betrayed him
Lol
Everyone: So you wanna molest children?
That's the thing, from his first appearance we are shown Slade is fully capable of killing all the titans. But he doesn't. And you have to wonder why. There's the robin thing sure but I think he was trying to groom all of them through robin to control the future of the superhero world
Not even to mention the fact that (due to parental guidelines and network "child friendly" ratings) he goes the entire series *bare handed*. No swords, guns, nothing other than his hands. And it works. If anything it makes him scarier. It's honestly deeply disturbing to imagine Slade in a scene letting out a sigh and then pulling out a sword, because you *know* he's done holding back now

I just noticed something about the PTSD episode! In the beginning, when Robin first sees PTSD Slade, the rain isn’t touching him but it’s pouring on Robin. Because he’s not real.
The animators/writers had everything down to a science, even their ability to hide which Robin they were using. Even the things that would be the most blatant towards it being Dick Grayson, specifically using Nightwing and the circus scene, get muddled when you add in important context.
Nightwing only shows up in an episode that's not just about time travel, but screwing destiny. While Robin thinks that "Nightwing" is pretty cool, there's no guarantee that he takes that up.
The latter's one that avid readers would notice....the perspective of the scene of the Graysons falling to their death is from the floor. While Dick might have been on the ground when that happened, So was Tim Drake, who was in the audience that night.
The confrontation between Beast Boy and Slade over Terra the first time had some unsettling implications from his dialogue.
BB - "What did you do to her!" Slade - "Nothing she didn't want me to".
Little reference for people who knew other versions of Deathstroke.
Also that one animation on newgrounds where they take straight cuts from the show change the outcome of that scene with no changes to the dialogue. You know the one.
I absolutly do not know. do you have a link?

This show made Deathstroke my favorite DC character of all time. I mean what's cooler than a martial-arts trained, super-soldier, tactician, assassin, and criminal mastermind with an eyepatch who single-handedly beats and psychologically scars an entire team of super-heroes.
What makes the PTSD episode even more horrifying is the fact that the probes in the mask didn't activate on their own, someone did it from outside the tower, WHO DID IT, who had it out for Robin for Slades death even though Terra did it?
Rose Wilson or Slades Butler
Rose would've been perfect
I saw an edit of the end of Haunted where someone put the Joker's laugh in.

Thank god I’m not the only one in this boat
Yeah Nux is a combination of his favourite characters. I only know about this one and Sans (skin and arguably eyes) though
I noticed the first time I watched Nux.
Fun fact: the entire terra arc, robin's psychological torment, and slade working with trigon is foreshadowed in Robin's nightmare, in the nightmare when Robin begins attacking and slade dodges to the side his eye glows orange and drags a fire trail for a moment, the stone faces and robin destroying everything is foreshadowing for terra causing the titans to collapse in on themselves and it's technically Robin's fault for telling her he could tell she couldn't control her powers, if he hadn't said that she wouldn't have run off to slade, and finally robin taking off slade's mask foreshadows the mask episode and robin seeing his own face behind the mask represents how in the mask episode it was all in his head
The entire Slade family is honestly badass. You have the Ravagers, who are just such badass', and you have Jericho, who can possess people! Deathstroke's whole family is sick as hell!
I believe Jericho actually shows up in this series in the third and second to last episodes
Yeah, he does show up. He's the blonde mute kid that shows when the titans go global
Well yeah, he shows up. But nobody would know he's Slade's son unless you knew before hand, cause they never EVER say it in the show.
@@slimeycorp yeah that's true
Slade: Shows up
Me: “THAT’S WHY HE’S THE GOAT! THE GOAT!”
25:27 thank you so much for saying that Nux
(I deal with so much going on in my head at once that I don't even know how to handle it all, and physical pain feels like a dream in comparison)
This man Slade is right up there in the Masterclass Echelon of Villains, right next to David Xanatos.
And Jeffery Epstein
Haunted is by far favourite episode of the show. It's basically a culmination of all the mental damage Slade inflicted on Robin exploding out for one last act of torment. And the thing that keeps you up at night line is goddamn bone chilling.
Everyone talking about Slade being "mysterious" like he wasn't just hired by Batman to test Robin's skill as a team leader. 😉
FINALLY...now if we can get a collab for the next "disrespectful moments in anime" episode
Slade once beat the new justice league with a laser pointer. He only lost cause green arrow shot an arrrow into his eye socket...later on he left his mask on the roof top for green arrow with the arrow that was in his eye socket with a note saying "yo we gonna run that back later son"
Rebelling against trigon is a reference to slade, in the comics called Deathstroke, was revived with the Lazarus pit. In this canon he trains under the league of assassin's, whoch is definitely post crisis era content for sure as before that he never met RAs al'goul. The thing about Deathstroke in the comics is he does the titans and teen Titans dirty a few times, for example he uses the white Wally west from the original timeline, who yes did survive crisis on infinite earths without getting retconned, just like green lantern killowog, and Darkseid. Deathstroke stole Wally's speedforce power for a bit, and during the event he even quits. If your wondering Slade's son dies and the Titans were involved, that's the comic books angle on things for Deathstroke
Fun fact, predator could possibly take Slade out. My reasoning for this is that batman fought a predator once (the comic won the comic book version of a Grammy) and it nearly took him out. In fact it's weapons were described as faster than Batman's beyond the speed of sound batarangs throws, while being silent, and said predator was also seen breaking thru steel walls, a feat which bane sometimes is depicted not being able to do
Dude slade was a badass as a villain
This was trippy to watch, because the first time I watched it was from youtube autoplay while I was sleeping, and I could vividly hear it in my dream and it even changed the plot to fit XD
lol cool
slade truly was one of if not the best villian ever
This man CJ is the yin to Nux's yang if you catch my drift
CJ is the black version of Nux I swear to god lmfao
I draft your drift, and up you that dripp.
Nuxanor was fanboying harder than Deku fanboys any hero's he runs into or sees
Slade was a literal monster in the og series not only but manage to make Robin go insane.
literally the first time I saw nux I thought he was a team titans streamer or something because he had a red X mask on his Head.
Lol same here!!
“Hey was good witchu cuh?” - Slade 2022 😂
25:29 Abso-fucking-lutely. You wanna know what the WORST depiction of character PTSD is? Yang from RWBY and her 'trauma' from losing her arm, which she has for like... A grand total of two seconds and it never shows up again. Ever.
Already knew how much a fan Nux was with his Red X Sans mask
The 2nd Red X was totally Slade just to mess with Robin again and wanted to show up on Robin that he better at fooling others. To this day everyone wonders who is the 2nd Red X. Lol
Haven't heard that theory before. He'd have to be revived a lot sooner than people think, but it might be possible
Slade is the embodiment of doing whatever the f he wants while messing with teenager's especially Robin's psyche lul also I got to send you some of Synsei's videos

The best thing is all of season 1 Slade is just thinking of them as toys to get Robin and get revenge on Batman and after that it actually gets personal with the Titans.
It's sad he never got a season to torment Cyborg and Starfire given he was clearly running down the list.
Brah, season 6 & 7 could have been just that lmao. Maybe in the rumored reboot we'll get that
@@halohawkxx Rumored reboot? I'd rather see a continuation, but it might alienate new viewers... Either way, definitely not getting my hopes up
@@gamejitzuI’m just hoping one day it gets the samurai jack or clone wars treatment
@@plugshirt1762 This treatment always feels undercooked to me, one way or another. Only the most out of touch executive would think TT deserves just 10-13 episodes as a "final story", instead of green-lighting an entire series. Just get Glen and his crew working on it and don't meddle, I'm sure they have so many new ideas. Money printing machine (as far as cartoons with actually fair airing schedules go anyway)
As someone who has been in a abusive relationship thank you for bringing up how hard it can be to deal with it
As a kid, when I watched Robin get infected too, and Slade stopped the detonator bc he didn't want Robin to be in pain, I was very convinced that maybe Robin was actually his son or something.
The scariest part is that Nux is basically an Imp compared to Slade. Where Nux is basically trolling people in ways that makes people (friends included) scared of him, where Slade basically does it in a way that it brings, PURE, bone-chilling fear into EVERYONE that meets him. Slade is basically everything Nux WISHES he could be. (Just not in a murderous way...)
The funny thing is that Slade is just his first name.
Did you know that apparently they had plans to have Slade waltz into the Brotherhood of Evil and take over their whole operation to show how it's really done since they were going to have a string of losses. You know, before Season 5 got cut in half.
That is insane. You take the most professional and seasoned group of villains from the entire show, and metaphorically dunk on the lot of them. So he can really traumatize Beast Boy, like the stuff with Terra was an appetizer.
Then they were going to have Slade take shots at both Starfire and Cyborg in the following seasons.
From this standpoint, slade is the dude you don't want havin your info. Also keep doing these!!!!
Slade was a true master of the Fade! If you wanna watch anothe CJ vid there is Escanor! It was hilarious 😂
I didn't realize that Nux was such a huge fan of Slade, or Teen Titans in general. Is that the reason the mask on his head looks like Red X's?
Ayo cj is actually just hilarious man 🤣🤣
Nux should check out the Saga of Tanya the Evil video CJ made.
I'd love to see more CJ, you should watch his Majin Buu video
Ever since his introduction in The New Titans 2, Slade Wilson, Deathstroke the Terminator, has been my favorite comic book character.
Watch the Dio video
"The clocks in the back represent how he manipulates things behind the scene, just a cute little character" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nux be talkin about PTSD when the only reason Robin was hallucinating was due to toxic dust slade likely acquired from scarecrow's fear gas
Yeah, if that's the case. Then it heavily implies that he and batman were working together to "Train" Robin lol
@@halohawkxx That would say much about how fucked up this iteration of Batman would be.
23:44 OMG. YES. It hurt so much. I freakin love Nux.
Had no doubt in this man, Nux.
Man Slade was one of the best written villians ever. I know it was Robin's show but the whole time I'm like just call Bruce because clearly u can't handle this one
Ive always had the thought that the toxic fumes from gis mask are actually Scarecrow's fear toxin. But with it being a kids show they had to tone it down. I mean they still traumatized that poor kid. Anyways awesome vid always love the CJ reactions!
Nux pls watch the Dio one it's fire
Slade is basically Robin's joker.
But worst
@@justinroux1610 yeah WAAAAAY worse
@@CaptainCFalcon Joker was just... Joker. He messed with Batman's head in a "comedic" manner. But Slade meant serious business with Robin.
The man even drugged a minor on screen and we didn’t even realize it until the last 2-3 minutes of the episode. Slade managed to be the antagonist of arguably the darkest episode of the entire series, while not really being there, and NEARLY killed Robin.
That’s an awesome villain right there, and in a kids show to.😎👍
Just realized that he in Madara basically pulled the same move. When their parole of the world of the living said time to go, they both shrugged, shook their heads and said nah.
CJ making me wanna watch the whole series of Teen Titans in a week
We can't forget about the comic arc where and older Robin apprentices under Slade and becomes Renegade for a while.
I know someone else who tormented a main character in a season they weren't in, but it was at a part where he saw a person who looked similar to the villain.

21:23 yeah I always asked that question thinking that they just let the kids handle it.
Slade was such a menace he had a whole ass literally impossible secret base that I guess is under the city somehow? Like foreal what fucking pocket dimension is this base in???
Maaaaan, I love that you did this. My Teen Titans DVD bundle showed up yesterday!

I think my favorite of this guy’s videos is either the Black Lagoon or Isshiki ones, mind having a look at those?
Teen titans slade is such a chad i cant believe a cartoon villain actually scares me as an adult

I discovered the series like half a year ago and then one month later i watched season one and oml bro slade is so fricin amazing
I’m sorry lol i’m fangirl-ing
Slade and the main character from Redo of healer can be best friends
Slade is a great villain for the fact that no matter what he does you can never predict him. He can save your life one day and then kill you the next for the coldest of reasons. He saved the second Phantom Lady's life and then in Infinite Crisis is the one to kill her with the excuse the Society paid him, he then goes on to deal the final blow to Uncle Sam. Then later he kills Ryan Choi the Atom because his arch-nemesis paid him for it.

Man, I would kill to see a live action Batman movie with deathstroke.
Slade's goal was to make Robin his apprentice. Robin finally realized that they are similar in that they both hate to lose. By infecting himself with the bots, Robin forced Slade into a choice of winning the fight BUT losing his final goal of making Robin his apprentice, or losing the fight but still having a chance to manipulate Robin. Brilliant!
May favorite scene is when Beast Boy goes ham, and F's Slade up.
3:43 It’s a very good marketing strategy to get your name out
This has convinced me to rewatch Teen Titans again
Fun fact in comics Slade beat Batman in hand to hand combat and humbled Batman, and taken down all of Justice League before, Stole Speedforce and scared away Kid Flash because “your just a boy with speed but when someone like me an assassin is as fast as you what are you going to do?” Something around those lines etc read some things about Slade in Comics, and youll find out manz is actually savage against even some of the most powerful characters at times
Deathstroke would have been his name in the show too, if not for it being to explicit
Slade is a monster at manipulation and the fact that it almost worked if Robin hadn’t gone to an ultimatum he knew Slade wouldn’t follow through with.
He did everything right to make Robin compromise all of his values until he was at the point of losing himself to his obsession with Slade and distance himself further and further from everything that kept him grounded.
whould love to see your reaction to his video on Tanya, Dio, and Buu
The dust in the mask was triggered by an unknown third party which is thought to have been a way to foreshadow Rose Wilson. They never introduced her because she was meant for season six... Fucking Cartoon Network.
