What a privilege to learn from you! I am in the messy middle of my learning curve and it gives me the courage to not give up on figurative painting because i love painting people, although it's not easy at all! Thanks for your super informative video's ❤❤❤

Thank you for this. I’m not very savvy with tech so I’d love to see what/ how you overlay a hand…. And then get it back to the canvas.
Also would like to see reference photo? ( what are those white shapes that looklike fried eggs)…. I’m assuming you used photoshop? Sometimes people have new apps they use.

Love your work Miriam! My question is do you use a source and if so, how do you create your sources?

Thank you! And Yes I do 🥰I use a combination of methods - usually photography or 3D modeling. The reference for this one is a photograph I took. I have a censored version of it included in my Patreon if you’re interested in seeing. I don’t always stick to the reference though 🥰

Waaaait a minute, where's part 3 for this one Miriam? 😄 Are you saying you don't use medium or solvent pretty much at all now in your painting then? You mentioned you might use them in the last part of this painting, but essentially do you just paint without them now?

Thank you. This is awesome. Quick question... because of the acrylic under painting, is all of it covered? Do you miss spots? And if so, when you varnish, art the two mediums, is it discernable???? 😌⚘️🙏🎨🖌

Is it possible for you to show how you work with photoshop to work the hand in this paiinting? I didn't quite understand the process as I have never used that system. Yes, hands are hard to give life to them but I love drawing them.

Would you be using such tiny strokes if you were in acrylic? I watched another oil portrait video and they too used those’d small brushes and strokes?

    Hii! My fav artist!
    I have a question!
I can't find any kraplax rose color in the UK :((
What can we use instead of it or where can I buy it :(
    Thank you!

Hi! You can look up ‘rose dore madder’ as well. Sennelier makes a version of it. Might be easier to get than the old holland brand!

It would be helpful if you zoomed in on the painting so we could actually see what you are doing. Not necessary to show your whole studio.
