Tip: Take off the Saniderm in the shower, because if you do it dry, and its actually on a fresh tattoo, you could pull a scab or a line. Plus it hurts a ton more. :3

Yes I'm glad you pointed this out! I was worried when they took off the Saniderm bandages like that. Stephanie, peeling off those bandages like that can potentially damage your tattoo or take skin off. Please peel it slowly and in the shower like The Lady Hokage said.

It's pretty typical for your tattoo to transfer some ink to the protective "skin" cause a tattoo is an open wound technically. Most shops will let you go back for a free touch up but you'll have to wait for it to heal a little bit more.

A little bit of ink loss is normal. Basically some just bleeds out into the scab and some gets scabbed over. So when you pick at the scab you'll see some ink there. That's why keeping it hydrated to avoid scabbing as much as possible is so important. I don't know if those tattoo specific ones are good (like tattoo goo) or just a gimmick. Nothing beats good ol coco butter.
