I’m so glad Noel and Roy are ok. Thank you for the update. I follow The Irish Homestead and the roof of their big static caravan blew right off and damaged the new roof on the stone cottage that they are renovating. Thankfully they and their animals are ok too.
I saw that too .Sam and Becky have a huge mess to clean up.. I hope the fire crew can help. Sam's working to help others now too.im sure beck has a start on what she can do..😊
You got this video up quick! Geez Noel and Roy were so lucky the caravan stayed put through that! It must have been turned in just the right angle to take the wind. How scary to know he was going through that and then not be able to reach him. I’m glad you didn’t have any damage. If you include both the Republic and Northern Ireland together, about a million households lost power in this storm!
So sorry to hear what you’ve been going through over there, I am near the LA wildfire sites and though unscathed, I feel for those everywhere, here and there! Take care Ireland❤
@@dfree1here Our heart goes out to the people of California affected by the fires. I’m glad you’re safe and escaped the devastation. You take care too. 🙏🏼❤️
Thank you for this update. Glad you are well. I was thinking of all those people renovating houses in Ireland, as Storm Éowyn did his nasty landing here in West Cork. It was a rough night even in a house, but here around Bantry Bay not as much destruction as further West and North. Hard to believe that I was having coffee and cake at Future Forests sitting outside just a few days ago.
Looking forward to the day we join you for that tea and cake lol. I discovered today that EOWYN is a made up name from Lord of the Rings… and is in fact female-gendered. 🤣 I hope you didn’t have any damage?
14:36 SNOW 🌬❄❄ Now it really looks like your house is in the middle of a Québec forest...never imagined Ireland had such dense forests of evergreens 🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲 glad you are safe
They are commercial spruce r plantations and not very popular with the natives lol. However considering how well we fared, it would seem they provide a strong windbreak during storms.
Was worried about friends in Ireland. Thank you for letting us know Noel and Roy are safe. Storm not nice here in Dumfries and Galloway. So hate to think what it was like in Ireland. Have not left house so I also do not know what I will find outside. Cannot use phone but have internet access. Stay safe Noel.
My sympathies. We just spent several days/nights in gale force winds on South Padre Island, TX in a caravan, a few days of low winds in between. We both have Covid too, so at least the weather sucked when we felt awful.
Hi Jill, so relieved Noel survived the night intact, remarkable! Understandable that you were concerned, it's when you lose contact that you begin to become a bit panicky, my son does it to me all the time, doesn't reply to texts then the mind goes nuts, but there's usually a reason and he comes back with Hi mum I'm not dead in a ditch. I reckon that if Noel can get through this, he can get through anything.
So glad your two boys are ok. I wonder if you were to put the caravan on the side of the container if that would have helped? As a windbreak and a buffer. Tie it off to the shipping container? Idk, but I live in Arkansas in the US and we get a lot of tornadoes here. Wishing you future blessings on your cottage renovations!
The weather is crazy! Here in Britany, we had heavy rain than sun, than rain, than sun, than big wind, than rain again, only snow missed! My thoughts go to you Noël, the flying caravan man (and dog!) and to the poor lonely worried wife of course!
@@TheHiddenHouseIreland Ah yes, I remember it! Extraordinary film in a Mary Poppins' style! Fortunately, the swinging bed stayed on the ground! Flying in my bed... a dream!

Yes, I heard about their roof damage from a group chat. It’s annoying due to work and expense. Thankfully no one was hurt.

You were so lucky! I know I wouldn't have dared to stay in the caravan lol. Glad to see you're unscathed 🎉
It was the line of evergreens that protected you from worse winds. Glad you are safe. 🙂
Yes it was, definitely a dense wind break. I😊🌲🌲🌲
it was a rough night, good to see noel & Roy got through it ok, take care. 👍

Noel was without power the next day, but sporadically it returned fairly quickly. Thankful for small mercies! 😊🙌👍🙏
@@TheHiddenHouseIreland That's good to know! We just got ours back tonight. Some people are expected to have to wait until Friday. 😔
Grateful that all is well. ❤

@@TheHiddenHouseIreland Thank heavens for that!
Such a relief Jill, great reporting Noel. Pleased you did not suffer from too much damage 🥴👏

I hope it’s not too long before you have power again. Noel just told me he’s been reconnected this evening. 🙌😃👍
Wow, scary with the caravan rocking like that! Glad came through ok
I'm glad you weathered the storm safely. Well done. Give Roy a scratch behind the ear for me.
@@azelkhntr4992 haha, I’ll pass the message on. 😃🐕🦺
Glad Noel and Roy are safe. There were a lot of orbs flying around in the caravan.
Really? I’m going to have to watch it back! 😃👍🙏
Have you seen them?@@TheHiddenHouseIreland
Brave of you two to weather the storm

I know, I’m trying to manage the anxiety, I know it’s not always reasonable. I’m getting slightly better, I think. 😊❤️
Roy is a beautiful dog
Awww how lucky Noel and Roy are ok how worried you must have been blessings to all tc 🤗🤗🤗
We feel blessed. Thanks for your kindness and prayers. 😊❤️
So good to known that Noel and Roy are safe
Absolutely!
You and Roy were so brave. Roy slept through lol.

It would be difficult for Noel to move it by himself. I think it’s staying put. The surrounding spruce do seem to create a wind break. 😊
Their another storm on Sunday will not be as bad I hope.
Big Phew!
It was an awful storm you are lucky to have no damage❤❤❤❤
I know. We feel blessed. 🙏

Flying caravan hmm … Bedknobs and broomsticks was one of my favourite films as a child lol. 🤣
@@TheHiddenHouseIreland Ah yes, I remember it! Extraordinary film in a Mary Poppins' style! Fortunately, the swinging bed stayed on the ground! Flying in my bed... a dream!
can you move the caravan so the house blocks the wind
It takes such a lot of effort to move for Noel on his own. It’s really quite steadily anchored down now. 😊
You are made of strong stock Noel ! You weathered the worst storm in Irish history x long live the Brennans 😆
You are such a great cheerleader Dee. 🙌❤️🙏
@TheHiddenHouseIreland always 😆
You were very calm Noel.
I would have definately have found a dog friendly hotel before the storm hit ❤
Not sure there is one near us…
Were those 'orbs' floating around the caravan?
Apparently so, lol 🤣🙏
Poor little Roy braced for the storm in bed, haha, so cute. Glad all is well.
He has the right idea! 🙌
