Stay safe everyone its very frightening 😮youtube glitches tonight it missed out two parts of the video, collecting the logs and the council man in his tractor doing the hedging, but had to get the video out x ha ha its turned up so weird 😅
Not good , no phone, electric or water , the electric cables are lying in the road telegraph pole for broadband is on the floor but wifi still working, no water. Trees came down onto the green polytunnel that's trashed , weve got a generator xx
Stay safe hopefully it misses you . Try and get an all in one gas ring which runs on little tins of gas. Then if the mains go off you can have a hot drink are a one pot meal to warm on. Take care 🙏🏻
We took the gas stove from the allotment today too. I’m worried about my tunnels 🙏 I really hope nobody is hurt. I always think of the poor homeless in the city too bless them.
@@thegonepotties How did you Fare Jackie, hope alls good with you over there ❤ we got away relatively light in Wexford compared to the rest of the Country.
@pamelamorris3654 no phone, electric or water Pam, power cables are on the road outside. Lots of trees down blocking the road, and my green polytunnel has a tree over it. A farmer checked in on us and cleared a part so we could get out. The good side is we have the stove and generator , and we can't believe that the telegraph pole is down, but we have WiFi. We charge the power banks from the generator so the WiFi router is plugged into that . So pleased that it wasn't so bad up in Wexford. The bedroom lit up during the night it must have been when the electricity cable broke xx
I just found your channel, and hope all went well for you. I am from Southampton, and moved to Ireland 9 years ago, to do pretty much the same thing. Each storm has made me better at realising what is important, water being a huge one. I have a well system and when power goes, so does the water, although I am sure an electrician could do something about it with a generator. My Ecoflow batteries run my freezer and charge my phones, and I lose my main fire as it is connected to the radiators, but have a log burner in the bedroom. Without that it would be a very hard experience, and I can heat up some tinned food on it. I got away mostly with it, although one shed has been partly destroyed, and another damaged a bit. Good luck, and all the best.
Lovely to meet you, you've got it sorted 👍 We have a logburner without the back boiler in two rooms so keeping warm is OK. The water like you say is a problem . We need to invest in another ecoflow then it will be much better. Have you got power back yet ? We're day 9 with none.
@thegonepotties Luckily, our power came back on Tuesday evening, it was pushed back a couple of times. Lovely to meet you too by the way. We don't have it sorted, but this time, we were more prepared with food, tins and even a Pot Noodle on one day. For me, getting water flowing would be my next big thing, and one day getting a car again. I am in the South of County Sligo.
@@thegonepotties So long as you are both safe and comfy, that is all that really matters, it is going to be a rough one for a lot of people, we can only hope that any damage caused is minimal. Those trees may get some damage, though I think they will do a decent job of slowing the impact, fingers crossed x
Thats good news though, we have the power cables down on the road, telegraph pole and loads of trees across the road, no water either , weve got a generator at least , no phone signal 2nd day@sharonfernandez2739

Make sure ye have plenty of extra petrol for the generator! We like to keep some and cycle it year around.
@@GardensforLife good thinking , I've got enough thankfully x
thats a good plan to have :)
Pretty scary stuff, with red warnings for the whole country, here's hoping it loses speed before it hits. Take good care and stay safe and cosy x

I wish those conifers weren't there 😕 but they do take the brunt of the wind , just watching the news 😔x
@@ellenchapman5293 So kind Ellen. Lets hope everyone stays safe.
Prevent damage (screwing greenhouse doors shut), stock up, be safe and don't go for a swim in the ocean tomorrow! :D
I bet some do 😄, hope you'll be OK 👍 x
I hope you are ok
