Jonathon Tsamantanis it’s only 2 3/4” thick so not much lost. It’s not often I ever fill it. I’ll miss being able to put a full face helmet back there but that only happens once in awhile. I’ll figure out something else for that. Small sacrifice.
Sounds great. I’m looking for some bass for my Spyder RT. Got the Polk’s on and the minds and highs are smoking. Found some nice marine grade subs by skar. 6.5 will probably be all I can put on it but the sub supposed to have a good low end range. 🤞🏻
Hearing a low end sub on a motorcycle is almost impossible... once you get pipes roaring and wind... its done. Lower speeds maybe... pumping gas and sitting still with the bike off, amazing.
I just bought 2 infinity 8 inch self powered, I'm going to dynamat the tour pack. Then I'm going to put 2/3 in ports in the bottom and put waterproof air filter mesh over them. One sounds great so too should sound even better. It's definitely a economic cheaper alternative.
If I’m totally honest, the sound difference isn’t as great as I’d hoped it was. Going slow, city driving, it’s there but faint. Hwy speeds? Nope, can’t hear it. When the bike is sitting still... it’s AWESOME, but I was hoping for a more dramatic experience while riding.
@@cmjphoto Very interesting idea! What do think about installing something substantially larger like the 400 watt JL powered sub? Do you think you would hear it better?
i am going to be putting a kicker h10 in the trunk of my 2012 voyager in two weeks with the factory head unit and polk db522 in the front and rear already. just need that bit of low end for sure
Wow great idea great application for these underseat powered subs. Now Rockford will make one for their Harley package and charge triple.
Nice job man, I was thinking you would eliminate your trunk space but you still have about 80% of it thats pretty good

I’m going to put a kicker HS10 in my Harley tour pak. Good innovative idea, rather than the costs of a separate sub, wires and additional amp.
P
This is exactly what I did. It sounds great when parked, but it is non-existent at highway speeds.
@@harleyjunkie8545 ok.good to know!
Assume you didn't want to cut the bags and install some 8" jefe rings and subs?
Cool
Whats the current draw and what upgrades did you do to your charging system and/or batteries
Are you happy with the sound? I'm thinking about putting one in one of my saddlebags.

@@robertdavis5495 would be worth a try. The install process is relatively easy. Go for it 👍🏻
@@cmjphotoCould you fit more than one of those bass units?
@@chokechange I don’t have the bike anymore to confirm, but pretty sure you fit a couple in there.
VERY NICE BRO!!!!! THE BASS CAN BE HEARD NICELY!!!
Is it possible to put 2 subs side by side?
If you have enough power then sure. Ppl put 2x10" with box in Harley bikes.
Imagine a pair of these side by side
Would this fit in a saddlebag?
Hey Homie, that's cool but can you really feel and hear it thumping while riding?
Where did you buy the rear speakers pods?
@@d12windowtintingllc these ones came with the bike
That’s a smart way too go nice
Did you need to get anything to use the bike controls for radio volume and Chanel controls
Yes, there is a handlebar control interface, available from Www.engineeredadapters.com
Nice job, thanks for the review. I’ll be doing the same
Won't hear it on highway at speed
Wow thats dope

Keep us posted on the outcome 👍🏻
Did you ever do it?
If its not a Parking lot Queen or in Sound wars,,,,Woofers are useless over 30MPH ,,,,IMO,,,
You use commas like I use periods 😭
Saddest shit I’ve seen
Wtf those are no subs
