Get ready to rev your engines and rock the night away at the Hotrod Hayride, a spectacular four-day celebration of hot rods, rockabilly music, and vintage culture! Held at the picturesque Bisley Shooting Grounds, this massive car show runs from Thursday to Sunday, offering an unforgettable experience for car enthusiasts, music lovers, and families alike.
Event Highlights
Organized by Jerry Chatterbox, Robin along with many others and in collaboration with the Detonators Car Club, the Hotrod Hayride is a labor of love that brings together a vibrant community of hot rod aficionados. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever, featuring:
Pre-66 Show Field: One of the main attractions, this dedicated area showcases an incredible array of classic and vintage American hot rods built before 1966. From sleek coupes to roaring muscle cars, you'll find an impressive collection that pays homage to the golden age of American automotive design.
Live Music and Entertainment: Dance the night away to the sounds of live rockabilly bands playing throughout the weekend. Enjoy performances from talented musicians who will keep the energy high and the atmosphere electric. Join in the fun with dance-offs, contests, and other engaging activities that celebrate the rockabilly lifestyle.
Detonators Dust Up: On Saturday, head over to Tongham Raceway for the thrilling Detonators Dust Up! This exciting event features exhilarating races and competitions, showcasing the speed and skill of some of the best drivers in the hot rod community. It’s a must-see for anyone who loves the thrill of motorsport.
Food and beverages:
Enjoy delicious food stalls offering a range of culinary delights, from classic American BBQ to sweet treats that will satisfy any craving. Including the massive bar/ beer tent offering a huge variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages.
Soap Box Derby
As the weekend comes to a close, don’t miss the Soap Box Derby on Sunday! This exciting race features homemade soapbox cars, where creativity and engineering skills come to life. Cheer on your favorite racers as they navigate the course, showcasing their unique designs and racing prowess.

Thanks for sharing. I found this very helpful from start to finish. Saw loads in Bisley definitely an amazing line up this year. £100 is alot but I guess it's worth it with how much you get included. Next year might consider going into the event to experience it and film?

Glad you liked it. Yes big shame about it clashing with the Supernats, knocked the numbers for both events down a little but looked like a great turnout there regardless. Might try and get up there next year for a day if it doesn't clash with anything.

@@MaxWolfMedia Cheers mate, I tried a different camera with that video, not realising how poor the quality was going to be, it's awful, but I'm not re-doing it... It''s my daily driver, we did almost 400 miles in it that weekend. By the way, the car you mention parked there last year 1:12:20 is also mine, a '71 Dodge Dart Swinger. The For Sale sign in it was for my then daily driver, a '68 Ford Ranchero, no idea why this confused everyone but there you are!
