People tend to forget before bazball, the Australian test team of the late 90's and early 2000's, They would score 350+runs in a day. So this is not the first time this has been done, It always reflects the team capabilities.

Atleast bazball effect is making test cricket interesting, good to see crowd getting involved in the game. Team India is at its decline now, too much money has made players to shift their priorities.
Bazball is good but it crosses the limit when you declare on the very first day on such flat pitch with your best batsman on the pitch with a century on the scoreboard against his name, and it then becomes mere showoff or playing to the gallery kind of stuff and ultimately you are destined to pay the price for that. Some may argue that eng might have won but it also might have been not only a win but a total disaster if aus could have managed to put a 200 run lead in the first innings as the wicket was real flat and it was more than possible but aus missed the chance and then only this equation came up. So in upcoming matches with smith labu warner scoring and if eng still continues only with their stuntbazi without sensible cricket then eng's bazball can fall totally flat.

Sure it's a double edged sword but if it pays off you will be on top. Dhoni used to take such risks and we saw the good results, also it backfired sometimes. A good captain isn't someone who does things in traditional way and waits for opponents to make mistakes but it is someone who takes decisions which might induce the mistake. Defensive captain won't win you big matches

Now coming to some on ground points...if you are really courageous why would you need to make such a flat pitch in the first place(that too in england), play your bazball on the usual pitch of yours, and then if you are playing on such pitch why you don't have a dedicated spinner why you need to have the cushion of playing an all rounder, don't you think the difference between ali n lyon played significant role on that pitch, why didn't you take the new ball when there were 37 runs still remaining to defend, to score runs in higher strike rate do players like root brook bairstow need to play those risky stuntbazi like shots......or did your ballsy captain got too carried away to think out all these points. See the point is i am not against bazball, what i am trying to say is that you have to remain grounded as well while being courageous, being carried away can lose you the game specially when it is about the most classical form of the game, showbazzi stuntbazzi won't win you matches here. The last but not the least thing that I hate to mention is that the other captain that you have taken as example was also not much successful in this very form of the game..😉😉

But I can debate with anyone in the world that 2011 wc playing XI was the best team but you can't argue that he also won the wc with above average team in 2013 and inexperienced team in 2007 . Ishan kishan can replace Rohit in T20I.
Jaiswal or Gaikwad or Ishan kishan can replace Rohit in ODIs.
Bring back Virat as captain in tests for WTC cycle. Recently India reached WTC final because of virat's captaincy who won Test series in England and drew series in South Africa with 1-1. KL did captaincy for one test in South Africa and lost it. But Rahul won test series in Bangladesh.
If Rohit fails to win odi series against West Indies, he should be removed immediately.
