This band deserves every ounce of fame.
They pushed through the pain.
Lovin' them in 2022 and I'm 60 yrs. old.
Me to at 61!
@@jimnicholson8530 I'll be 61 on September 9th. They are coming here (Michigan) but the concert is sold out. I was trying to save$$$ and getting over major surgery. So I make the best out of it all and watch them on RUclips! Gotta think positive!!! It's how I survive!
Brents voice sounds a little rough on this one but he has one of the best, most powerful voices in which I have ever heard!!! And Ive been around since the early 60's
His voice was probably tired from multiple shows, but he still has my attention. I would love 💘 to go to a Shinedown concert.
He was actually full flu day before the show. Band wanted to reschedule filming but still play the gig. Management at the time said no. So. We wind up with one of the rawest, most energetic rock shows possible caught on camera🤯
He's amazing ....
He's onstage live not in a studio so amazing...that's what I've been missing
This was the last show of a full year of touring. House of Blues Myrtle Beach, SC. I saw them there live for a NYE show, absolutely amazing!
Best of Shinedown for sure.
No album will be better than Leave A Whisper.
Whether label records buy it or not.
F yeah bro
Amaryllis imo was the best and sound of madness was second and we can argue about 3rd.
@@TravelAdventureswithEricB If you think leave a whisper is last (like a lot of shinedown fans) your opinion is flawed
Also rank all of your favorite shinedown tracks
@dontflyspirit6535 I think Us and Them is worst, leave a whisper is just as good as the last 3 albums.

I miss this Shinedown! Reminds me of the movie Grind. Takes me back to my skating years!
2:00 When he's finishing saying the word "Regret" and he opens his eyes real wide, Brent looks 100% like Edge, WWE/WWF wrestler.
*MAXIMUM EDGE*
Haha also when he used to pull his hair after a spear
Love this song. Their realness, the energy.
Wow the old shinedown. I miss these guys...they were always amazing to watch!
Still are
now this is the shinedown i love... no playback, just raw talent and energy
fuck yeah now they are just a wet log
Before they got rid of their good guitarist!
@@erich7662 Zach Myers is good but I definitely think Jasin Todd is better
They don’t use playback anymore Brent’s voice is different but still strong
@@thezombros2607 they used playback tonight in grand rapids. I think it had to do with the fact that they have pyrotechnics and an actual stage production.
My Favorite song from this amazing band!
They're ON FIRE in this video. Amazing talent and energy!
X2
arguably the BEST friggin rock band of modern times, they blast my face right off.
And their music isn't just an attempt at being the most "in your face and loud" It has class. Their cover of Simple Man, did it for me, new favorite band
Anyone who has actually SEEN Shinedown perform knows that they are AMAZING LIVE.. This show they played toward the end of that years tour and I do have to say, they've done better.. But you can just see how tired and worn out they look... See them live and your thoughts will change on them. And If you can meet them, please do. They are so nice and actually care about their fans. They are real people, not fake ass "ROCKSTARS".
Underrated song
Only Shinedown can discuss stealin the Sun from the sky.
ROCK ROCK ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!! OOOOON!!!!!!
Back when Shinedown were young AND HUNGRY!!! They went out there out and played EVERY SINGLE SHOW AS IF IT COULD BE THEIR LAST!! I know they’re all healthy and sober and all that stuff and I guess that’s great for them as people, but for them as artists, the angst, attitude, subject matter and general feeling of their music has suffered ever since. I understand they’ll never ever be as good as they were when they released Leave A Whisper but at least those of us who fell In love with them when we heard it over 20 years ago will always be able to listen to it on loop and think about WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN!!!
YES! Nothing will ever compare to the old shinedown with the original band members. Good for them for being sober and healthy but I agree that their music has suffered ever since. I was a hard core fan since the time I saw them open for 3 Doors Down and followed them around every time they came around the area to perform! I’m so lucky and grateful to have seen and known the original Shinedown and I must say…I long for the original feel.
@@brittanyburgess5511 THANK YOU!!! I was starting to think I was the only one. The Deluxe Edition of Leave A Whisper was/is one of the GREATEST ALBUMS OF ALL TIME!!! They were so hungry and full of ANGST AND ENERGY!!! The band in its current form is honestly NOT THE SAME BAND, literally and figuratively. Yes Brent Smith is still the front man but it’s NOT THE SAME Brent Smith as back 20 years ago. Jasin Todd and Brad Stewart are SORELY MISSED!! ESPECIALLY Jasin….I’m not saying Zach Meyers is bad by any means but IMO when he joined the band it became A LOT less focused on Brent Smith’s vocals which are THE ONE THING THAT SET THEM APART AND ABOVE THE OTHER BANDS FROM THIS ERA!!! Once you start using synthesizers and other electronic sounds and stuff YOU INSTANTLY LOSE THE THINGS THAT MADE SHINEDOWN SPECIAL!! I feel like Zach doesn’t want to play around Brent but rather in front of or on top of (if that makes sense) it’s like he wants to be just as prominent as Brent but everyone knows that Brent Smith is Shinedown!!!
you cant argue that they arent amazing songs and whats it matter...its a hell of an album lol
I love Shinedown so much
I was there that night and it was off the chain. brents voice is the bomb.
This song right here is my favourite Shinedown song
I know it's just my opinion but, they have come a long way and are a much more professional band than they were back then. living proof that you have to get a moment of clarity and sober up if you want to be the best all the way around and survive the test of time. A wise decision. proud of them.
Tim Mumford I couldn't agree more
100% agree
They also changed band members and ultimately styles
Yeah they’re old stuff like law and us and them ain’t my style whatsoever sound of madness and foreword they are awesome though
This to me is the greatest shinedown song of all
Definitely
16 people haven't found their way to steal the sun from the sky...
Shinedown is totally without a dought..the best rock and roll band of this era.
These dudes are sick! Not too many rock bands out there anymore that have truly talented live artists. ROCK ON Shinedown!
These guys could power a small city with their energy !!! Shinedown Rocks !!!!
LOVE! ❤️ LOVE! ❤️ LOVE! ❤️
these guys are fucking awesome. they have good concerts and good CDs.
I totally agree. The band is just trying to keep from writing the same stuff over and over. They have definitely grown over the years and they've said in interviews themselves that they're always trying to reach the next level. These guys write from the heart and experiences they've had. As they mature, the music they write matures, and that's very special. They have powerful messages and raw emotion in their music. I will forever love them for that.
I love Shinedown's old and new stuff and have been listening since 2005... I don't get why people are saying "RIP Shinedown, this isn't what I know and love" on their new "Bully" song.
- They haven't sold out
- They retain lyrical meaning
- They still (and succeed to) write awesome music
- They still try (and succeed to) avoid making all their music samey.
There's just a lot of nay-sayers out there... Keep on writing Shinedown!
All this is still true
have they heard unity…?
@@bobcloset7963yeah and it kicks ass

Remember this night and it holds a special part in my heart. Changed my life in a way it was just that intense and it was amazing! Miss those days!!!!🤘
Seeing this for the first time now. This is amazing! 🤩
rock on SHINEDOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WILL NEVER TIRE OF THIS INCREDIBLE VOICE!!
This song is à timeless masterpiece. No doubt about it
Definitely one of their best!
This is what happens when the right singer , the right bassist , the right drummer , and the right guitarist...........get together !!!!!! Thank God !!!!!
I love this version!
Favourite Singer
@hardluckhippie True. The feeling these dudes get during shows probably feels better than any drug out there.
I wanna watch Grind now.
I swear no matter how old this is I always remember 2:00-2:02 and 2:20-2:27 and I end up replaying those parts over and over again lolll
Love the live sound! They just get better and better every time.
Whenever I'm pissed off at any and everything, I play this song and feel better... Actually, all Shinedown songs get me through life day-by-day, because their songs have meaning, unlike all this other crap they play on the radio. Shinedown is hands-down one of the best bands there ever was - in my opinion.
I think I've rewinded from 2:20 like 1000000000 times now. Flawless voice. The most golden voices in our time
so im not the only one, i played that part for like 10 mins straight.
Sebastian Vingård
haha same that voice so powerful :)
THE FVCKING CHILLS!
Flawless???
@@onearmedwampa not flawless but great
old shinedown!!! aaaa!!!
awesome performance, I love them
Still one of my faves!! ♥️
That damn intro riff sends shivers down my spine
I remember them playing at the oaks..right before the album hit! I knew right then and there, they were going to be the biggest, baddest most honest people. And I thank you guys! You keep me alive!
It's amazing he can even talk after a tour like that. It is tough for singers!
This and 45 are my all time favorite tracks by Shinedown..
I miss this.
whoever dislikes this really doesnt know how hard this song is on your voice...brent had been belting songs all night. cut him a break
Yeah, its gonna sound different. All I know is that I've seen them in concert 3 times, and the floor crowd rivaled Slipknot. Shinedown is amazing live, and I prefer how he hits more notes now than in this vid.... its more pleasing to the ear. hahaha
My favorite song from leave a whisper♡
One of their best albums.
One of six good songs on law the rest suck
ON MY SHOULDAAAAAAAAS
gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!
The sun's shining when Shinedown songs:)
LAW Was just PURE aggression. LOVE IT!
This song was awesome LIVE last friday the 13th 2012! Kicked ass! Brents last words were "and one more thing its great to be back!"
Brent is my idol. I absolutely love him and Shinedown. I think hes kickin ass up there singing, It takes guts to do that. Im in a choir and have sang in front of thousands of people in the choir and i still get nervous. Brent, Barry, Zach and Eric are all amazing. Definitely my all time favorite band.
I love this ......Cause I found a way to steal the sun from the sky
Long live that day that I decided to fly from the inside
Awesome!
Yup!!
yay real talent!!!!!
He’s god 2:23
3:40... sick guitar move
Thank you! And they cannot cancel a show every time they get a stuffy nose or just feel tired. Most bands try their best to put on a great show every night. Of course they have bad nights, but many musicians make up for it with the feeling and soul they put into the performance. This isn't some pre-recorded Super Bowl Halftime dance performance haha
I like this one best. pure.
song shreds
Wish the original band reunited man they were bad ass and raw ..
Saw you guys when you kicked serious ass and didnt care in Houston
Seether
Breaking Benjamin
Theory of A Deadman
Shinedown ... you signed my shirt and told me why you don’t perform Lacerated
Still are just not as “butt rockey” and more modern
So Sick they were LIVE !!!!!!
Great new rock band
omg epic!! it's weird when u hear shit on the radio and just think whatever till u hear it live and then it changes ur life
juni bug. Nothing like seeing your favorite band live nothing like it on earth i was baptized in 1998 in philly in high school Staind opened up for wait for it Korn instant Nirvana been 2 countless amount of concerts ever since😉
baddd assss southern boys rock............
Back when they were good ... Original guitar player
Zach Meyers is really good too you know.😊
cool ass live song
Haha. you paid $300 to see them? I got to see them perform last year for free. Just had to wait for good seats a couple hours before show time! And was a great show!
this song is just ... AMAZING !
WoW, Its feels like yesterday I was there on the front row. That night was so good and I can put that on my bucket list for my life. House of blues NMB!!!!!!!!!!
How do we get this back 😩😩
i seen these guys in dayton ohio in 05/06 and they rocked the flipping house...they still do. so all the haters need to go bye bye now!!!!!!!!!!!
this is fucking rock music
INTERESTING BIBLICAL REFRENCE!!!!!! WHAT DO U BELIVE?
THIS is Shinedown. I love the new band, but THIS is SHINEDOWN. Jasin Todd is Shinedown.
No not really
Brent's voice sounds so cold, cruel and harsh
in a shitty way
Dozereyes 4444 in a good way
I dont think ive ever heard brent use that much rasp in his voice.
I used to play this album over and over and over. Their new stuff just doesn’t do it for me like the old albums
They need to come back to Pittsburgh!!!!!!!!
More of this and less of Daylight/Symptom of Being Human please😅
Yesssssssss
ON MY SHOULDERS!!!!! Fuck I love this!
Okay why does everyone feel like the sound of madness was the last time Shinedown was just awesome they're still amazing too listening to and im a huge fan of them but i think know what do you guys think about that.😊.
It was the last of their early 2000s style and most of it was written with the original bassist and guitarist. Personally I think it's awesome that Brent has let the newer members (since 2012) throw their own styles of playing and producing into their sound which has allowed it to evolve with the times. That's why they're the band who holds the mainstream hard-rock record for #1 hits with 19 of their songs. The Beatles only got 20 #1 hits for comparison.
@@buck-mq3qo well that's true I guess pretty much everyone loves to go back to the early 2000s when it comes to music.😊
GREAT SHINEDOWN FLY FROM THE INSIDE LIVE !!!
WE WANT SHINEDOWN IN BRAZIL!!!!!
He wasn't bad here, but damn he is really good now haha! Brent you're a bad ass!
Eric Bass with dreadlocks😄😄😄🎸🎸
Brent Smith is awesome !!!!!!!!!
He is definitely one of a kind
amen
Flying from the inside is the only way to survive life, knowing spiritual connections and realms exist, something much bigger than the physical...
live shinedown... boo
apparently u hadnt been to many concerts before cuz its called getting the crowd involved and get them more pumped up for the show
