A lot of history there - Virgin has gone, the HSTs have gone, 700 units have more or less ousted the other local services units you see here - Azumas now appear but the class 91s still have a foothold - just...
I'm argentine. the origin of our railways is British. However, ours had the impairment due to the corruption of the rulers, who are far from flawless as British Rail. I hope the new Argentine government gives to the railway priority that should never lose. I congratulate you very good images.
@NUK3 Kevin the cube paint scheme basically. Livery is a nicer way of saying it, and usually implies there's some pattern or text, rather than just one plain colour.
+Thomas Norton I will bare that in mind! No where on ANY station have I yet seen a sign saying that photography and videoing is not allowed. Nowhere. They treat train stations like they're a high security area. I'm thinking "Hmm Biggleswade..." seems legit. Middle of nowhere and population of just 15,000. Clearly I'm an intruder with my tripod and camera.
Dear Friend: I am going to travel to England next year and since I am a railroad fan, I want to know that station near London allows me to observe trains at high speed. Sincerely, Fausto Brindisi from Argentina
A very good film Matt, they sure do come through at speed, as for the jobs worths, Well always have your photography guidelines with you, and you should ask for permission from the station manager to film. Plus sign a form. I have had to do that. THANK YOU
Between 7:38-7:42 this person is standing near the slow lines and walks across the rest of the train tracks after a 91 is speeding and a 321 arriving. I believe this person could be trespassing.
+Asad H I just spotted that too, someone taking a shortcut no doubt, bit dangerous though, he has no clear view of trains travelling the other way. Nutter.
Don't believe the member of staff, he's just a silly little jobsworth assuming that people wouldn't know that he was giving them bullsh!t. Of course, I suppose a company as badly managed as Great Northern wouldn't be concerned in the slightest about public goodwill, so i suppose he figures he can get away with it.
+Johan Mahoney-Berg It's bloody ridiculous! Nowhere does it say that photography is not allowed unless it includes members of the public who do not wish to be filmed!
+rachaelmatt I know and when I challenged him on what he said he mumbled then disappeared. I've emailed Abellio asking for rules etc and will print it out and carry with me to show if needed.
I don't understand this namby pampy nonsense about some stations being so reluctant to let people film there. Seriously, people like the guy you mentioned need to lighten the fuck up, excuse my language. I'd complain about him if I were you.
2:33 Great shot of the Class 365 and Class 91.
A lot of history there - Virgin has gone, the HSTs have gone, 700 units have more or less ousted the other local services units you see here - Azumas now appear but the class 91s still have a foothold - just...
Don't listen to the staff down there. I work for GN and it's perfectly fine
If it's a station I'm not sure about I will always just check first. But thanks for the heads up on the rudeness of Govia Great Northern.
I love the screams of the mark 4 coaches on the class 91s!!
Weirdo23 actually they are mk 4's
Weirdo23 that's what he said
SuperChris153 yeah i corrected what he said after he mentioned it. I originally said mark 2
these trains running so nice
GREAT VIDEO VERY IMPRESSIVE
Very nice video!
The quality of the zoom lens in this video is superb, what make and model is your camera ?

7:38 there’s a random guy trespassing on the tracks
Actually, no - that's a public footpath crossing - there's three of these on that stretch within a few hundred yards of each other.
Wait so you're telling me that there's a foot crossing that casually crosses a 125mph section of the ECML?? Bruhh
The trains must be getting heavier and heavier with the constant repainting into new liveries!
Luckily they sand of the old paint!
@NUK3 Kevin the cube paint scheme basically. Livery is a nicer way of saying it, and usually implies there's some pattern or text, rather than just one plain colour.
Good footage, good vantage point. Not keen on that new livery on the 365s though. The old one looks much better.
The old one was actually the ‘First Capital Connect’ livery
Next time you go spotting, do what I d and print the Network Rail photography guidelines but a great film Mat.

Train_PlaneHub The staff would think that! But you can film anywhere u want

I mean you can get a thameslink here from London
Hmmmm. Biggleswade is not a station at which you would wish to wait on a dark and stormy night. No shelter anywhere - except under the viaduct/bridge!
Very good
when the southern east coast mainline was actually interesting...
The XC HST in cainbrigeshire was weird
^ Cambridgeshire. Yes was on hire at the time
Nice Very Awsome

Used to live there! Know it well!
I thought this was *Fast Trains* so why are the two trains after 1:00 stopping?
Because not all trakns are 91s or 43s that dont stop. People also like to see occasional stopper

+Nick Annies yeah my eyes can't pick up a crossing and mine are really sensetive
On Google maps it shows that it is crossing for people
The east coast mainline used to be the most interesting with loads of variety. Couple years down the line and it's the most boring 😢
X Country HST from 9:37 to 10:04
6:13, polished turd!
Did anyone else notice the person walking across the track at 7:42?
+Joseph Dawson Yeah I did. It's a crossing I think and he crossed after the two trains had passed.
+rachaelmatt do you have to get permission from the train operating company to film on stations?
You shouldn't have too but some bloody jobsworth station staff act like you have to.
Definitely a foot crossing there - see my pic on www.railpictures.net/showimage.php?id=172593&key=8281904
Who else is an American and watching this?

+AndreiTupolev He was actually a Woman, but I do agree.
+rachaelmatt a youngster at Chelmsford tried to stop me taking photos yesterday

Train_PlaneHub I don't get why they say u need permission? bunch of assholes
Station staff can be a bit annoying sometimes
7:10
station 0:24 ?
thank you
They're all Biggleswade.

Tf is wrong with you?
